It was a disappointingly barren day yesterday, with no deals being and very little news breaking – but that just means it’s all set to explode today.
Bobby Hill’s quest to get to Essendon looks to have been made that much harder after GWS list manager Jason McCartney publicly declared a deal was highly unlikely. Collingwood are known to be interested in him as well, but it’s Bombers or bust in the Hill camp.
Of course, we still have the drawn-out sagas of Jordan Dawson and Jordan Clark to sort out. Adelaide and Sydney still can’t seem to agree on a deal for Dawson, while Geelong and Fremantle have named their price and are waiting on the other party to blink on Clark.
Peter Ladhams is also keen to join the Swans, but there’s some water to pass under the bridge before that happens, while Rory Lobb’s allegedly cancelled return to Greater Western Sydney could yet bob up again.
There’s sure to be plenty of action, as well as a surprise or two, so join The Roar for a live blog of all the latest news throughout the trade and free agency period, starting from 9am (AEDT).
