The 2019 AFL trade period officially begins today, while the second day of free agency also gets underway. Join me from 9am (AEDT) as we cover all the latest news and rumours in the player movement space.

The biggest news to come out of the last few days is Joe Daniher officially requesting a trade to Sydney, with Essendon vowing to play hard ball.

The Swans look to feature heavily in the trade period, with Tom Papley and Zak Jones both looking to return to Victoria at Carlton and St Kilda, respectively.

Jamie Elliott is making the most waves in free agency, with the Collingwood small forward weighing up offers from both Melbourne, Brisbane and his current club.

The only official transactions to take place so far have been Brandon Ellis’ move to the Gold Coast and Cam Ellis-Yolmen departing Adelaide for the Lions.

Keep it locked on the The Roar as we bring you all the latest trade news and rumours as they come through.
