It’s been slow going in the 2021 AFL trade period so far, but it resumes once more this morning. Join The Roar for a live blog and rolling coverage of the day’s news, rumours and action from 9am (AEDT).

We’ve had just two trades go through in the first two days of negotiations, with Collingwood involved in both.

Yesterday, they were able to secure uncontracted Geelong tall Nathan Kreuger on the cheap. On Monday, they completed a complicated pick swap with the Gold Coast Suns that saw them stock up on enough picks to block any bids on Nick Daicos in the upcoming draft.

Otherwise, news has been trickling through.

We know that Sydney and Adelaide are some ways apart in their negotiations over Jordan Dawson. The Swans claim they’re not after Adelaide’s pick four, but they’re not prepared to accept pick 23 after.

Could a reported pick swap between the Crows and Dogs – which would see pick 17 head to West Lakes – be the answer?

Elsewhere, Geelong are unhappy with what they’re being offered for contracted midfielder Jordan Clark by Fremantle. Similarly, Carlton think West Coast’s offer of pick 52 for Sam Petrevski-Seton is unders.

There was also a brief re-ignition of the Lachie Neale saga early yesterday morning – but his management has shot down any rumours of a return to the Dockers.
