The deals are set to come thick and fast now, with day four of the 2018 trade period set to begin at 10am (AEST). Join me as we discuss all the official trades, free agency moves and, of course, the litany of juicy rumours throughout the day.

After a slow-ish day yesterday saw Scott Lycett finalise his move and Dylan Shiel pick Essendon, we’re set to see the floor open a bit more this morning.

Carlton have allegedly scored a breakthrough in their pursuit of Adelaide’s Mitch McGovern, with the Swans set to play mediator as they try to improve their draft hand.

The Blues are also set to finally unveil Alex Fasolo as a free agent signing, in what has been one of the most heavily-rumoured moves of the season.

The other big news to come in overnight is North Melbourne may have also secured the services of both Jared Polec and Jasper Pittard from Port Adelaide as they look to improve their side for 2018.

The other big movements we’ll hopefully see progress on today include Dan Hannebery’s move from Sydney to St Kilda, Giants trio Dylan Shiel (Essedon), Rory Lobb (Fremantle) and Will Setterfield (Carlton) finding new homes, as well as any further progress on the Jesse Hogan and Steven May rumours.

The deals that are proving a bit harder to make traction on include Brisbane’s pursuit of contracted duo Lachie Neale (Fremantle) and Marcus Adams (Western Bulldogs), as well as West Coast’s quest for Tim Kelly (Geelong) – with those players’ respective home clubs all (rightfully) playing hardball.

Tune in to The Roar as we bring you all the latest trade news and rumours as they bob up.
