It’s a blockbuster to begin AFL Round 15 as the Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats do battle at The Gabba. Stay up to date with the action on The Roar with live scores from 7:30pm (AEST).

Firmly entrenched in the top four and with their poor start to 2021 a thing of the past, the Lions will be looking to prove themselves against a fellow contender after their last attempt didn’t end well. Their last match before the bye saw them forfeit a 20-point half time lead against Melbourne to go down by 22 points. Brisbane look the goods, but they’d be looking to get the job done tonight.

Geelong enter tonight’s clash on the back of a six-game winning streak that’s included the very impressive scalps of Richmond, Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs. They’re within striking distance of top spot and a win tonight would at least all but guarantee them a top four spot at the end of the season.

The Lions have a terrible recent record against Geelong, losing 11 of the last 12 – including the last three in a row. That recent streak included a 40-point defeat (at home) in last year’s preliminary final, as well as Round 2’s controversial one-point loss in Geelong.
