Joe Daniher returns just in time for Brisbane, in the midst of a mid-season slump, to take on a serious challenger in St Kilda in front of a raucous Gabba crowd. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 7:25pm (AEST).
The Lions have lost two of their last three games, going down on the road to first Hawthorn and then Fremantle to leave their position in second on the ladder suddenly tenuous.
They have, however, been imperious at home this season, and with key forward Daniher returning from a shoulder injury, are at full strength to ensure they remain ahead of the likes of Fremantle and Carlton, while maintaining the pressure on ladder-leader Melbourne.
After missing the finals last year, St Kilda have surged back to their 2020 best so far this season, with a win here to see them jump back into the top four.
Impressively, their squad bats so deep that one-time stars Jack Billings and Hunter Clark have been named as emergencies for this clash, with exciting youngsters such as Mitch Owens and Marcus Windhager named in their stead. Goalsneaks Dan Butler and Jack Higgins return to give the Saints some extra firepower.
