An injury-hit Carlton simply need to defeat the struggling North Melbourne to remain on track for a drought-breaking finals berth. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 7:25pm (AEST).

Coming off a costly defeat to Fremantle last week, the Blues are banged up and in desperate need of an easy victory after a gruelling string of matches.

Ruckman Marc Pittonet will miss the next three months with a PCL injury in a major blow, while star recruit George Hewett’s first season in navy blue has been put on hold by a badly corked calf.

Neither will be easy to replace, but with inside bull Matt Kennedy and the versatile Jack Silvagni among five inclusions, the Blues have called in the cavalry to get the job done.

With only one win and a series of crushing losses, 18th-placed North Melbourne are facing another tough season.

Making things worse for the Roos, key back Ben McKay has been suspended for this match, after an incident against Geelong. It means once again, he will be unable to lock horns with brother Harry, who overcome a bout of soreness to be fit for the Blues.
