Prior to their last game, North had, uncharacteristically, won three matches in a row. However, the Giants brought them back to earth, beating them by 13 points.
The Roos have won five from 13 this year, so it’s not been all bad for Rhyce Shaw’s men, though the Swans and Bulldogs could overtake them with wins.
As for the Pies, a ten and three win-loss ratio has them in second place, just four points off the top-placed Cats.
However, the Magpies are only four from seven this year at home, while North are three from six on the road.
Collingwood have won four of the last five meetings, dating back to 2014.
In team news, just one change from the Magpies team who beat the Bulldogs, with Jeremy Howe ruled out with a calf injury. In his place, Josh Daicos comes in.
Taylor Garner has been suspended by the club, so Kyron Hayden will run on instead.
Prediction
It’s hard to go past an on-song Pies team, and their momentum should get them over the line.
