Captain Nat Fyfe is back for the Fremantle Dockers, but COVID-19 has forced them to “host” the Carlton Blues at the MCG. Follow along with live scores on The Roar from 7:40pm (AEST).

The location of this match has gone through a number of venues over the last week. When Perth was ruled out, the Dockers requested first Tasmania; then, when their government knocked the AFL back, GMHBA Stadium was their next choice. Ultimately, for broadcasting reasons, it has finally landed at the home of footy, the second match of the day at the ground.

Fyfe’s return is a handy boost for the Dockers as they look to push for a finals spot, having pipped Collingwood in a gutsy win without him last week. Losing leading goalkicker Matt Taberner, however, is a blow.

After being forced to play a home game against the West Coast Eagles at the SCG a few weeks ago, the footy gods have squared the ledger for the Blues with this fixture change. Richmond’s recent form slump has opened the door for any side outside the eight to make a charge for finals, so the Blues can still pull off a miracle if they are good enough.

However, the loss of co-captain Sam Docherty with an ankle injury is a big loss, as is Zac Williams, who was suspended for a week for an incident during their win over Adelaide last week.
