The Dockers were dominated by GWS last week and really lacked any sort of drive throughout their 70-point defeat. They lost the clearance, possession and inside 50 count. This week they welcome back Michael Frederick and Sean Darcy to attempt to keep their finals hopes alive.
On the other hand, the Bombers have been in scintillating form. Under the guidance of their astute coach, Brad Scott, the Bombers have developed a fast-paced and high-pressure style of play. With young stars like Archie Perkins and veterans like Jake Stringer showcasing their immense talent, Essendon’s forward line has become a potent scoring machine.
The clash between these two teams will not only be a battle of skill, but also a contest of contrasting game styles. The Dockers’ disciplined and structured approach will aim to neutralise Essendon’s fast-paced attacking game. Meanwhile, the Bombers will look to use their speed and agility to break through Fremantle’s defensive wall.
