The St Kilda Saints will be looking to put a third win on the board this when they travel west to face the Fremantle Dockers on Sunday. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 5:20pm AEST.

Fremantle suffered a narrow three-point loss to the Gold Coast Suns last Sunday at Metricon Stadium, in a disappointing follow up to their surprise domination of North Melbourne the week prior.

Gold Coast were simply shocking in front of goals and gave the Dockers an opportunity to steal the win, but even a Cam McCarthy-sparked resurgence late in the third term – kicking two goals and assisting with another – wasn’t enough to topple the Suns.

The Saints made it two from two last Saturday against Essendon, edging the Bombers by 11 points.

St Kilda were another side inaccurate in front of goals in Round 2, but are finding belief in themselves and their system after a number of setbacks in the pre-season.

In team news, the Dockers have made two changes for this match. Lachie Schultz has been omitted, while young ruckman Sean Darcy has been managed.

Taylin Duman and Brandon Matera are Fremantle’s inclusions to tackle the Saints, both impressed in their performances for Peel against Perth in the WAFL.

St Kilda have made just one change for their trip to Perth, opting to manage midfielder Jack Steven. Hunter Clark has been given the opportunity to play his first AFL game for the season, after finding form again in the VFL.

The last time the Dockers and Saints met was round eight, 2018 at Optus Stadium and Fremantle ran home six-goals winners.

It is the midfield battle that will decide the match; Rory Lobb must give Nat Fyfe and co first use of the footy if Fremantle are to get back on the winners list.

Prediction
At home, expect the Dockers to bounce back and defeat the Saints.

Fremantle by 11 points.
