The Gold Coast Suns will be looking to return to form, as they host the red-hot St Kilda Saints at Metricon Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 8:10pm (AEST).

The Gold Coast Suns – so exciting earlier in the season – are now precariously close to falling out of finals contention, having lost four of their past five clashes. Their last win came over the Swans on in Round 7, and in their last two losses, they have failed to kick over 50 points. Those losses, against the Western Bulldogs and GWS, saw the Suns fall a game out of the top eight.

The Saints, meanwhile, are flying high. They’ve won their past two clashes – superb wins over Port Adelaide and Sydney respectively – while sitting top four on the ladder. Finals speculation is rife around Brett Ratten’s team, but a history of inconsistency remains. They must ensure that they secure victories in games they’re favourites in – like today.

The Saints have lost their only clash at this venue this year. The Suns have split their six games; winning three but dropping three at their home stadium.

Both outfits’ have made two changes to their sides. Stuart Dew’s Suns have dropped Pearce Hanley and Darcy MacPherson, while bringing in Sean Lemmens and debutant Jeremy Sharp.

St Kilda drop Matthew Parker and Shane Savage, with Dean Kent and Ben Long rejoining the side.
