Sunday afternoon footy kicks off at Sydney Olympic Park as the GWS Giants take on the North Melbourne Kangaroos at Giants Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 1:05pm (AEST).

After being embarrassed in the 2019 grand final, Greater Western Sydney got 2020 off on the right foot after blowing past Geelong by 32 points. The Giants were clinical in the midfield and precise going forward, with Jacob Hopper picking up 22 touches and four clearances, while Harry Perryman, Toby Greene (four goals each) and Jeremy Cameron (three) took care of the scoreboard.

The Kangaroos dug themselves out of a 29-point halftime hole in their Round 1 game, reeling the Saints in with a superb second-half effort to claim a thrilling two-point win. Ben Cunnington was the star, collecting 25 disposals, seven tackles, six clearances and two crucial final-quarter goals in an undisputed man-of-the-match performance.

GWS were the victors in 2019’s only meeting, triumphing by 23 points thanks to a good second half in Hobart and making it three wins from four against the Kangas. It will be North’s first trip to Giants Stadium since 2015, a venue they’ve won their only matches at – making them the only undefeated team at the venue.
