The struggling Hawthorn Hawks will look to get back on the board against the winless Adelaide Crows at the Adelaide Oval. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:40pm (AEST).
In what’s already been a bitterly disappointing season, the Hawks arguably hit a new low last week after surrendering a 36-point halftime lead to lose to Essendon by 16 points. They conceded a whopping 11 goals in the second half to fall to their eighth loss in nine games and entrench themselves in the bottom four.
That’s nothing compared to what the Crows have gone through in 2020. Last week was easily their best of the year – the bye. Zero wins from 13 matches means they’ve all but wrapped up the wooden spoon, although this looks to be their most winnable match of the remaining stretch, so don’t be surprised to see them come out breathing fire.
Hawthorn have an excellent recent record over Adelaide, winning ten of the last 11 meetings and the last three in a row. This dominant streak has included all four of their meetings at the Adelaide Oval so far, meaning Adelaide’s last win over the Hawks at home came back in 2011 at the old Football Park.
