The Hawthorn Hawks are hunting their second win of the season against the much-improved Adelaide Crows at Launceston’s UTAS Stadium. Stay up to date with their AFL clash with live scores on The Roar from 12:30pm (AEST).

After a spirited second-half fightback gave them a one-point win over Essendon in Round 1, almost nothing has gone right for Hawthorn since. They took Geelong to the line, but have otherwise been outclassed by Richmond, Fremantle and Melbourne in fairly disappointing performances. This will be one of their best shots at a win for some time.

Adelaide have bounced back smartly from last year’s wooden spoon and look to be a whole new side, but last week’s loss to Fremantle would’ve tempered expectations. The Crows have still won three of their first five matches and will take inspiration from their match with the Hawks last year, where they scored their first win of the season after 13 consecutive losses.

That game was Hawthorn’s first loss to the Crows in three games, although they’ve still won ten of the last 12 games between these sides. Adelaide haven’t travelled to Launceston since 2010, but have lost four of their five matches at the ground.
