Brisbane are looking to continue their winning ways as they travel down to Tasmania to face a Hawthorn outfit starting to come back to earth under Sam Mitchell. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 3:10pm (AEST).

The Lions have lost just once for 2022 – a narrow defeat to Geelong in Geelong – and are just a game and percentage behind Melbourne in second spot on the ladder.

With the best and most dynamic forward line in the game, a rock-solid defence and a midfield led by Brownlow contender Lachie Neale, the Lions are seen as the Demons’ major challenger for the flag this season. However, they did hit a roadblock against the Hawks in Launceston last year in a major upset, and will be keen to avoid the same.

In-form defender Marcus Adams misses after entering the AFL’s health and safety protocols, with versatile tall Tom Fullarton coming in in his stead.

The Hawks started life under new coach Mitchell full of life, with two wins in the first two rounds. However, since then, things have quickly turned sour, with just one win since.

Last week’s defeat to Richmond was compounded with a serious ankle injury to veteran forward Jack Gunston; without him today, even more responsibility rests on the shoulders of young spearhead Mitchell Lewis.

In better news, exciting half-back Changkuoth Jiath returns from a hamstring injury, while Tom Mitchell is back from illness to bolster the midfield. 2019 best and fairest winner James Worpel has been dropped after a poor recent run of form, a serious statement from Mitchell.
