The Hawthorn Hawks return to University of Tasmania Stadium to host the Fremantle Dockers on Saturday afternoon. Join The Roar for coverage of the match, with live scores and a blog starting at 2:10pm (AEST).

Hawthorn are up and about after salvaging a final quarter win against Collingwood on Friday night.

Despite controlling much of the match, Hawthorn gave up multiple goals to the Magpies through poor skill errors and frustrating turnovers, but were able to clean things up when it mattered.

Young Mitchell Lewis, who had just been promoted to the senior line up for his ninth AFL game, kicked the Hawks in front in the fourth term.

It was tight, but Hawthorn held on; dishing Collingwood its second straight loss.

Fremantle, meanwhile, met the ruthless version of the West Coast Eagles on Saturday night, thumped by a massive 91-points in the 50th WA Derby.

In slippery conditions, the Dockers were horribly inaccurate, scoring two goals and 19 behinds, the lowest-ever Derby score.

Fremantle impressed in the first half of the season, though when injuries hit – particularly to the tall’s – the Dockers have fallen out of the eight and their movement forward has stalled.

Fremantle will be looking to get back on the winners list after falling to a third consecutive loss, though the trip to Tasmania will be a tough challenge.

Hawthorn have made a couple of changes this weekend.

Conor Glass has been omitted, while Jack Gunston will miss the trip south with a minor leg injury.

On Friday, Alastair Clarkson said Gunston needed a break, with several little niggles preventing his best training and performance this year.

The exciting news for Hawks fans this weekend, is the return of Grant Birchall to the senior side after 740 days.

Various injuries over the last three seasons have been tough for the veteran, most recently calf issues. However, he is right to go and will be hoping for a strong finish to the season.

Chad Wingard has also been declared fit to play and will join Hawthorn in Tasmania.

The Dockers have made three changes after a shocking Derby performance.

Griffin Logue and Mitchell Crowden have been omitted from the squad, while Aaron Sandilands will be managed following his return to the AFL side.

Stephen Hill is set to make his return from a minor hamstring injury.

He will be joined by Sean Darcy and Ryan Nyhuis for the trip east.

The last time these two teams met was in round 19, 2018. At Optus Stadium, Hawthorn won by 59-points in their charge home to another final series.

In fact, the last three games between the sides have been won by the Hawks by an average of 50 points.

Prediction
With the fixture down in Launceston, Hawthorn have the first advantage.

The Hawks will be keen to make it two in-a-row and should do so on Saturday.

Hawthorn by 19 points.
