The Hawthorn Hawks will look to play spoiler against a Western Bulldogs side hoping to crack back into the top eight. Join The Roar for live scores from 3:35pm (AEST).
The Hawks were better against St Kilda than they were against Adelaide, but the 14-point defeat was their tenth in 11 matches as they slump closer and closer to a bitterly disappointing bottom four finish. It’s hard to believe Hawthorn knocked off Brisbane and Richmond earlier this season.
The Bulldogs, on the other hand, have been playing good football of late and, while they sit just outside the eight, are on the charge to finals. They can’t afford any slip-ups, but their last two matches are very winnable and two wins should see them into finals football.
The Dogs got up in last year’s only meeting between these sides – a 19-point triumph in Round 2. Prior to that, however, Hawthorn had won ten of the last 11 meetings. Neither side has won in Adelaide this season.
