The North Melbourne Kangaroos are hunting win number two against a Gold Coast Suns desperate to regain respect. Stay up to date with the action on The Roar with live scores from 1:45pm (AEST).

This year has gone about as badly as people were expecting for North Melbourne. But, while they still have a mountain to climb if they want to avoid the wooden spoon, they’ve shown a bit over the last fortnight with a draw against GWS and a respectable performance in a loss to Brisbane. They’ve been a much tougher team to play this year in Hobart too.

Gold Coast, on the other hand, are enduring more hysteria as to their future in the AFL after their losing streak reached a whopping two games before the bye. While the media pile-on has been a bit excessive, there’s no denying the Suns have underperformed in 2021 and they’d be desperate to climb above 16th before the year is out.

The Suns have knocked off the Kangas in their two most recent encounters by ten goals each time. In fact, North Melbourne are the only team in the AFL that the Suns have a 50 per cent lifetime winning record against. This is Gold Coast’s first game for premiership points in the Tasmanian capital.
