Round 15 concludes with an elimination final two months early, with Port Adelaide and Gold Coast both in desperate need of a win to keep their finals hopes alive. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 4:10pm (AEST).

Sitting 12th and 11th respectively on the ladder, this stands as a virtual eight-point game, with the loser just about falling out of the finals race. The Suns’ draw from here is easier, though, making this a crucial match for the Power in front of their home crowd.

Port reminded everyone of their potency with a stunning win over Sydney last week. Despite being a man down on the bench for much of the match, the Power obliterated the Swans in the middle, with Todd Marshall colossal in the forward line and Connor Rozee in everything.

However, Zak Butters is a major loss with an ankle injury, while COVID has forced defensive pair Darcy Byrne-Jones and Tom Clurey to the sidelines. Another ruck injury, with debutant Brynn Teakle injuring his shoulder, will see the Power again face the Suns without a recognised ruckman, with Jeremy Finlayson to do the bulk of the work.

The Suns have been hugely impressive in 2022, but need to win games like this if they want to make the finals for the first time in their history.

Having won five of their last six, the perpetual cellar dwellers are playing the best footy they ever have, but haven’t saluted at the Adelaide Oval, nor against Port, since their inaugural victory way back in 2011.

Making the task even more difficult, defender Wil Powell and forward Joel Jeffrey will miss the rest of the season through injury, forcing a host of changes for this must-win clash.
