Both the St Kilda Saints and Melbourne Demons will look to consolidate their strong starts when they clash on a Saturday night at Marvel Stadium. Stay up to date with their AFL clash with live scores on The Roar from 7:25pm (AEDT).

St Kilda had an injury list longer than the Murray-Darling ahead of Round 1, but defied all expectations to walk out of Giants Stadium with a statement win. With pundits lukewarm on their chances of backing up last year’s finals breakthrough, the win would’ve been a huge confidence boost for the Saints as they look to further prove they’re a team to be reckoned with in 2021.

Melbourne are battling lukewarm external expectations too, but were widely tipped to get off the mark last week and did just that against Fremantle. The Demons didn’t have it all their own way, but they kept their opponents at arm’s length all day and never surrendered their lead once they kicked the first goal. It’s early, but tonight’s result will be crucial in their quest to return to the finals.

It was the Dees who prevailed when these sides clashed last year, winning a three-point thriller in Alice Springs to break a three-game losing streak against the Saints. Both clubs have excellent recent records at Marvel Stadium, with St Kilda winning six of their last seven and Melbourne triumphing in six of their last eight.
