Round 7 finishes with arguably the match of the weekend, as top-four contenders Sydney and Brisbane do battle in an SCG blockbuster. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 4:40pm (AEST).

Both the Lions and Swans are in ripping nick, sitting 5-1 to be well and truly among the biggest challengers to reigning premiers Melbourne.

The Lions’ only defeat has come in a narrow loss to another powerhouse in Geelong away from home, while the Swans’ blip came in Round 3 against the now-struggling Western Bulldogs.

Last week, Sydney stunned Hawthorn with a nine-goal final term to claim victory by 41 points having trailed for much of the day. With two goals, reborn livewire Ben Ronke was among those leading the charge, while Callum Mills played perhaps the best game of his career with an inspirational 37-touch performance.

The Lions were too good for crosstown rivals Gold Coast from start to finish in the QClash, with exciting youngster Zac Bailey excelling with a career-high five goals. Bailey, alongside 2017 number one draft pick Cam Rayner, are among the next generation of Lions powering them into premiership contention; the pair are a brilliant foil for stars Lachie Neale and Hugh McCluggage in midfield.

The Swans regain goalsneak Tom Papley for his first game of the season in a major boost, while veteran Josh Kennedy returns to the starting 22 after a fortnight as medical sub. For the Lions, medi-sub Jaxson Prior is the only change, coming in for the injured Kai Lohmann.
