A massive Sunday afternoon clash sees the West Coast Eagles play the Collingwood Magpies at Optus Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 3:35pm (AEST).

This is a replay of the 2018 grand final and has the potential to be just as close as that premiership decider. Fortunately for viewers, both of these sides are in increasingly good form coming into today’s game.

West Coast’s time in the Queensland hub was a relatively poor one, losing a string of games. They’ve bounced back since then, easily defeating the Swans and Crows in their last fortnight in the east. Importantly, the Eagles are coming off a comfortable derby victory over Freo last weekend. As of the beginning of the round, Adam Simpson’s men sit in eighth position on the ladder.

Collingwood have also had a good fortnight. They come into this clash after wins against Hawthorn and, last Thursday night at this venue, Geelong. Nathan Buckley’s squad needed those results after stumbling with two frustrating losses.

For the Magpies, this clash is the second of a trio they’re playing in the West Australian hub. They have a strong record here, only losing one of the four games they have played at the ground. The Eagles have won at Optus both times they’ve played there this year.

Both teams have injury concerns after last weekend’s clashes. West Coast will be without Brandon Ah Chee. Skipper Luke Shuey and debutant trio Nic Reid, Harry Edwards and Bailey Williams are all potential inclusions.

Collingwood have lost the services of Travis Varcoe and Jordan De Goey. Josh Thomas, Ben Reid and Brandon Sier are all possible ins.
