Due to the position of both sides in terms of the ladder, this is one very big game, and neither club will want to be on the wrong end of it.

Adam Simpson’s side are flying at the moment. After 15 rounds, they sit second on the ladder, and they will no doubt be looking to overtake the Geelong Cats, who currently sit first on the ladder.

Two home finals almost looks a certainty for the Eagles, which means we should see them playing on the big stage yet again.

West Coast are coming off a massive win, as they defeated the Fremantle Dockers in the derby by 91 points at Optus Stadium, which no doubt sent a message to the entire competition.

Andrew Gaff was superb for the Eagles, as the wingman accumulated 35 disposals. Jarrod Cameron, Jack Darling and Jamie Cripps were sharp in front of goal, as they finished with four majors each.

In team news this week for the Eagles, Liam Duggan (injured) and Brendon Ah Chee (injured) make way. Tom Cole and Josh Kennedy are the inclusions to the side.

As for the Magpies, they have played some horrendous football in the past few weeks. They still sit third on the ladder, but that could change very quickly if there isn’t an improvement in form.

The run home for Nathan Buckley’s side looks a tough one, and injuries are no doubt hindering their season, but they still need to find ways to secure the points.

They are coming off a four-point defeat to the Hawthorn Hawks, which took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Adam Treloar and Tom Phillips both played a decent game against the Hawks, as they finished with 31 disposals each. Will Hoskin-Elliott and Jordan De Goey both kicked two majors each, also.

In team news this week for the Magpies, Josh Daicos (omitted), Matthew Scharenberg (omitted) and Josh Thomas (omitted) make way. Ben Crocker, Levi Greenwood and John Noble are the inclusions. The clash against the Eagles will be Noble’s first at the AFL level.

Prediction
This is a huge game for Collingwood. They really need a win, but with the way both sides are currently travelling, this should be a comfortable victory for the Eagles.

West Coast to prevail by 30 points.
