Show Preview

The Western Bulldogs and Adelaide Crows head to Ballarat with the Dogs looking to retain top spot on the AFL ladder. Follow the action with live scores on The Roar from 12:20pm (AEST).

The Dogs reclaimed pole position on the ladder with last week’s win over previous leaders Melbourne, and are ideally placed to claim a club-first miinor premiership.

They will, however, be without top defender and former Crow Alex Keath for the rest of the home-and-away season after suffering a hamstring injury against the Dees. In better news, 2016 premiership captain Easton Wood returns for his first game since Round 9, while gun midfielder Josh Dunkley is out of his mandatory COVID-19 isolation period.

The Crows have slowly been tracking downwards since a bright start to the season, but last week’s win over Hawthorn showed the Crows’ forward line remains a dangerous proposition. In particular, the Dogs should be nervous about Taylor Walker, who has shown this year that he can rip games apart. How will the likes of Zaine Cordy and reborn backman Josh Schache fare against the competition’s second-highest goalkicker?
