Local footy club President does a Nick Davis with last second winner in prelim final

It doesn’t matter which level of football you play, kicking the winning goal on or after the siren is the stuff of dreams. Doing it in a sudden-death final is the ultimate.

Playing in the C5 division of the Perth Football League, Trinity Aquinas needed a miracle in their preliminary final against North Fremantle. The side was down by five points with four seconds remaining and had a ball up deep in their attacking 50.

With bodies all around the contest, club President Gerard Arangio somehow found space and quickly chucked the boot on the ball with a snap around the body to take his side to the Grand Final.
The goal sparked pandemonium as supporters ran onto the ground to celebrate.
