WATCH: Rhys Palmer faces lifetime racing ban for throwing shoes
Former three-club AFL player Rhys Palmer has returned to the sporting news headlines in about the worst way possible, facing the potential of a lifetime ban from racetracks for allegedly throwing his shoes on the track at a race in Perth on Friday.
Footage from the race shows two shoes being flung onto the track during the race, endangering the participants, although no major damage was done.
Security staff then rushed in to grapple with Palmer in the video, who appears to be barefoot.
