The opening game of week four is set to be an absolute belter. These two teams are set to go deep into the playoffs this season and this will be our first look at how good they can be against strong opposition.
The Vikings have had a mixed start to 2018. A win in week one over the 49ers, a late fourth-quarter charge took them to extra time against the Packers in week two. Then a shock 27-6 loss to the Bills in week three.
There isn’t a lot that we can take form these games, other than to say that quarterback Kirk Cousins is hot and cold.
They have plenty of offensive weapons and will step up today against the Rams. Look for big games from Adam Thielen and Stefan Diggs.
Sheldon Richardson and Andrew Sendejo will command respect on the defense, look for them to pester Rams quarterback Jared Goff.
The Rams are destroyed every team they have faced so far this season. They have a combined scored of 102-34.
They have wins over the Raiders and Chargers as well as a 34-0 shutout of the Arizona Cardinals
Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib will be missing from the defense for the next few weeks, this means they may leak more points, but they have enough offensive weapons to counteract this.
Todd Gurley, Rams running back, is arguably the best player in the game. Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp certainly hold their own on such a dynamic offense. They will be very hard to stop.
Prediction
This will be a close match between two great sides. I think the Rams will have too much on offense for the Vikings.
