UPDATE: The NFL has banned Garrett for the remainder of the year in what is the single-biggest suspension for one on-field act in NFL history.

It is also unclear when he will be allowed to play again, with the NFL labelling the suspension “indefinite” beyond the postseason.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh’s Maurkice Pouncey was suspended for three games for kicking and punching in response to Garrett’s actions, while Cleveland’s Larry Ogunjobi was also banned for one game after shoving Rudolph.

Rudolph, who had grabbed at Garrett’s helmet and sparked the scuffle, was not suspended.
