Shocking scenes as runner punches first place competitor out of the race
A high school track meet in Flordia turned ugly during a one-mile race when the leader was inexplicably attacked. Spectators were in shock at the incident, with the attacker continuing like nothing at happened leaving his victim on the ground. Spectators say that the athlete who threw the punch was not actually involved in the race but took exception to the lead runner telling him to get out of the way. The New York Post claims that police were called over the incident but it’s not known if any charges were laid.
