Loose forward trapped in a halfbacks body

After encouraging showings against NZ sides, the results vs Aus sides have been disappointing. Tahs seasons over. Feel sorry for Bell. Poor guy. 😔

Super Rugby teams round 8: Tahs drop Marky Mark, Kellaway returns for Rebels, HMP replaces Lynagh

I cannot fathom the reasoning behind punishing the outcome and not the intent. So if Koroiduadua had connected and exploded Mafi’s nose then it’d be 6 weeks (like Lomani). But because he missed it’s 2 weeks?
Well I guess we should all feel better that they have been reminded that rugby is no places for head-buts and elbows. I guess they missed that part of the rule book. Honest mistake I suppose….

Lomani gets huge discount on ban for shocking elbow after guilty plea, teammate has penalty halved

This is nonsense…

Intentionally attempting GBH and its a fraction of the penalty for just being a bit reckless in a tackle…

I’m guessing because he’s very cheap. So why not? The backs they have are hardly setting the field alight

Beale's back! Wallabies star joins Western Force after injury opens the door for veteran's return

KB will sure up the defence.

'Went straight through us': Blues put 50 on Force as scrum issues return

All teams do. If they don’t, they have other international’s making up the squad. Not much between sides from an international experience perspective.

'Went straight through us': Blues put 50 on Force as scrum issues return

I always have faith!
Faith that the team can pull off a miracle. But more faith that even if they win, the usual bottom feeders will be critical anyway.

Now we wouldn’t be suggesting a touch on unconscious bias to give the fledgling team from a developing nation a bit of a leg up against the much better resourced opposition would we? 😛

'Insane and total stupidity': Drua have two SENT OFF as Rebels score 33 unanswered points to win again

A wise man once said. “From little things, big things grow.”

'Insane and total stupidity': Drua have two SENT OFF as Rebels score 33 unanswered points to win again

The excuse from the ref when (I think it was) Lancaster was shoulder charged over the sideline late after kicking ahead was just pathetic. “Just a shoulder. Not a late tackle”. Utter madness!
The ref has to wear some blame for how the game deteriorated.

Oh come on! Give us a night off. We’re going to cop more than our share tomorrow night.. 😔

18 should have been penalised for his dog shot on Gordon. It might have calmed him down. He was out for blood from the moment he went on the field.

Excellent! Another review…. 🥊 🥊

Rugby Australia kicks off review into Waratahs as pressure mounts on Coleman ahead of Brumbies clash

Point 6 is all it’ll take. After the PE injection to clear debt, what’s next? How do the Rebels as an entity demonstrate they are able to stand on their own 2 feet? as they will have to, to remain seperate from RA.

'We've got three pay cheques left': Rebels given glimmer of hope - but the clock is still ticking

The thing that’s strikes me as odd, is that the Dewar Sheild has no participation west of Footscray. It seems heavily located east of the CBD. This seems to be a significant disconnect from where Rugby is played in the greater Melbourne area. Might be convenient to piggy back off the already started facilities build. But from a Rugby perspective I can’t help but feel there would be a better suburban location.

A growth area is one thing. But it’s not everything.

Somewhat. But after the debt is paid. The entity needs to have some viability. Else we are just kicking the can down the road and once again pouring good money in after bad.
Looking at the Dewar Sheild as the feeder comp. It is heavily located east of the CBD. Heading west might be the cheap option, but is it the best option? I don’t know.

PE backed consortium 'in final stages' to save Melbourne Rebels with $30m injection and link with A-League club

But it has been taken from a geographically central location to the extreme west. Yes, there are people that it will be local for, but it’s also a lot further for half the entire city. It also lacks the destination vibe for dinner, drinks after etc.
like I said below, I hope it works.

Die hard supporters don’t keep the lights on though.

No way! Canberra is 1000 times easier to get places by car. Inner Melbourne is well connected by public transport. Not so much the outer reaches.

Rebels will be 30km from CBD and allegedly 50 mins by car (google maps). Given it’s taken me 30 minutes on many occasions to just cross the Melb CBD I’ll take that with a grain of salt. Canberra stadium is 10 minutes drive from CBD.

I hope it works.

Whoah! That’s in the boonies.

Bell and Tupou working together at the Tahs for the betterment of Rugby in this country. You know it makes sense!

'We’d like to see Taniela stay': RA 'absolutely' want Thor for Lions, have 'contingency plans' for Rebels crisis

The Super clubs are not rep sides. The players are not selected from their region. They are recruited from anywhere.
It’s nitpicking to call it a franchise. That is more related to the structure of the competition. Not the entity that is the NSW Waratahs. For all intents and purposes it is a club to the players as the club is the human connection. The franchise is just the licensing side.
They are definitely not rep sides.

I think you may have missed the sarcasm.

You seem confused. The Waratahs are not a rep side…

You might want to take a few breaths and then have another crack at that. Because that was gibberish
