That HTB given to Fogarty just before half-time was technically no different to the one paid against Will Hamill at the other end just a bit earlier.

'Very challenging one': AFL back ump's 'correct approach' in last-gasp non-HTB controversy... but admit free was there

I don’t know the specifics of how the pressure rating is worked out, but probably fumbling the ball and dropping marks etcetera contributes markedly to the opposition’s ability to ramp up their rating.

Footy Fix: Ferocious, fast and fantastically coached - stuff the controversy, let's give the Dons the respect they deserve

Brett Montgomery?

Luke Beveridge is on borrowed time - he's an inconsistent coach who gets inconsistent results

Winner of Collingwood v Melbourne to go all the way. Loser out in straight sets.

Six Points: Meet your new flag favourites, the finals sleeping Giants, and why Sheezel still shouldn't win Rising Star

He could take all the kids down to the tattoo shop and help them choose

TOM MORRIS: Why a Dusty-Dimma reunion makes sense... but not for 13 more months

AFL.com, ESPN, Rookie me central, Fox Sports, Inner Sanctum all rate Jed Walters at number 2, but the fact that Daniel Curtin is also rated very highly reinforces my scenario that Daniel Curtin could be off the board before West Coast have a pick.

Six Points: The coach killer to end all coach killers, and why score review system will always be imperfect

Yes, it’s worst case scenario stuff, but Gold Coast will 100% match a bid for Jed Walters, of course the bid might slide, but he’s the consensus 2nd ranked player. The priority pick situation is real. Ben McKay may actually stay at North, but probably won’t. I probably wouldn’t rate Ben McKay highly enough to pay him the 800k or so needed to attract band 1 compo, but there’s definitely interest in him and it may be more attractive for a club to over pay than have to make a trade.

I’m an Adelaide supporter and am officially in draft mode.

The draft ramifications for West Coast moving up a spot could be a mini disaster. Not just the loss of the rights on Harley Reid or the draft capital they could gain by trading pick 1, but if North Melbourne get band 1 compensation should Ben McKay choose to depart, then North Melbourne will also gain pick 2, if they then put a bid on Gold Coast academic Jed Walters, with Gold Coast matching, they then could take the highest rated Western Australian product, 195cm Daniel Curtin. West Coast effective moving down from pick 1 to pick 4. On top of that their 2nd round pick shifts down two spots rather than one courtesy of North Melbourne receiving a future 2nd round priority last year. There 3rd round pick also shifts two spots as North Melbourne also received a 3rd round priority pick.

Come on Les, how long has it taken you to work out that Kane Cornes is a flog.

Kane Cornes' crusade against 'flopping' Magpie isn't just disgraceful - it's dangerous

It’s probably worth noting that despite Harley Reid’s exploits, Vic Country didn’t win the game. South Australia won with a 16 year old kid named Tyler Welsh playing a significant part. Tyler had missed the first two games with injury, but came in and booted 5 goals. In preseason testing he ran a 2.92 sec 20 m sprint, which would have been good enough to get him ranked 6th at the 2022 draft combine and also a 92cm running jump which would have had him ranked 3rd in that category. He’s the son of Scott Welsh and is an Adelaide father son, elligble in the 2024 draft. Get ready. Oh boy.

Six Points: Getting back on the Blue bandwagon, fixing the MRO's biggest flaw, and the new dangerous tackle reality

Rod Jameson is also on the board, but that’s all the ‘connections’ I could find. Perhaps Charlie can help us out here.

'Much more to life than football': Crows youngster pulls pin on AFL dream

So sad that a legend can’t get a game at his club and is let go, only to find that there is no interest in his services from any other club, even though he could be attained at no cost, apparently no interest in the rookie draft. The only way that the legend can get on a list is to audition during the preseason in the hope of being offered a rookie spot by the competitions bottom club.

Back to the future: Clarkson gets band back together in hopes of recreating success

Linking the term ‘Legend’ and Liam Shiels seems excessive.

What’s wrong with you Don? There is plenty of up and coming talent in the Adelaide line up. You come across like a mean spirited old rhymes with hunt, whose only input is to slag off other teams

Walla returns: Bombers confirm McDonald-Tipungwuti for 2023

That’s BS Don, Crows currently only have two players recruited from other clubs. Jordan Dawson ( product of Sturt SANFL) and Izak Rankine (product of West Adelaide SANFL)

Walla returns: Bombers confirm McDonald-Tipungwuti for 2023

If Izak Rankine can’t make this side, can he come and play for the SA team? Chad Wingard is in the SA side.

AFL State of Origin: Would this Indigenous side be the most exciting team to watch?

Now I won’t be frustrated watching Western players ducking, diving, dropping their knees, throwing the ball and getting rewarded by the umpiring. Now I can just watch and appreciate good coaching. Thanks Chris

Get over it: The Western Bulldogs earn a favourable free-kick ratio

Oh dear, the CEO is backing Kenny in. Dead man walking.

AFL NEWS: Walker back after racism ban, Hinkley reacts to sack talk, Selwood resting, De Goey ousted

I don’t agree that North Melbourne’s team looks good on paper.

Six Points: Every club needs its own 'Do Better' report, and pantomime villains make the game better, Kane

Agree, Collingwood down the bottom of ladder, will fight with Hawthorn for the spoon, last year they were better than 17th, but there on a downward path.

Why Collingwood will claim the 2022 wooden spoon

I don’t really get the good Rory, bad Rory thing. Was Johno Brown drunk at the time?

An open letter to Rory Thompson

I’d be a bit worried if Finlayson was support ruck, I’d be more inclined to pull the trigger on Sam Hayes who is going into his fifth season and seems physically ready. Georgiadis to play CHF.
On another note is Boyd Woodcock back on Port’s list? I read that he’d signed with Southport Sharks.

It's time for Port Adelaide to release the kraken

Ben King’s done his knee and apparently he’s out of contract at the end of season and Victorian clubs are prowling. Just saying.
