Why only hate Carlton and Collingwood when there are other fantastically insipid and equally dispisable clubs out there to spit your bile at like Port Adelaide, Westcoast, Melbourne and Essendon. And the reason we hate them? It’s their supporters of course. I mean, let’s get real about this. I’ll be honest here, I’d hate Richmond for the same reason and with just as much conviction if I wasn’t raised to hate myself.
And don’t forget, Carlton are fun to hate because of you press their fans hard enough, they’ll admit that they hate them as well. Even when they’re winning. Carlton supporters aren’t sports fans. They just follow Carlton because everyone else in their family is into some kind of sport and they recognised Carlton as being the least complex and easily digested, faceless organisation that they are.
