Both boxers stand to gain from this fight. It’s an easy way for Mundine to gain some cred late in his career, fighting for world titles in his own backyard. As for Geale, he stands to gain financially in a way that he probably hasn’t to this point, and recognition. He’s a champ but he’s not known in Aus like Mundine. A win over Mundine would give him significant recognition in Aus. I think it’s dangerous for Geale though, Mundine’s crafty and quick, if a bit old, and Geale should have the edge, but Mundine doesn’t lose too often and if nothing else he’s full of confidence….my money’s on Geale though.
