Knightmare: Ponga fails to impress in Newcastle horror show
Joey only works with our halves and Blake Green is our attacking coach now sir. Willie Peters was for the last 6 years.
Get the little things right; what Newcastle Knights fans are hoping for in 2023
It’s actually not that simple. It’s not because of the coach, it’s more so behind the system and culture of the club. Adam O’Brien would excel if he coached Melbourne because he knows exactly how their system works down to the letter.

Can NRL please stop coming up with endless names for rounds and 'respect' us fans by focusing on footy?
Disturbed’s version is amazing but not as good as Genesis.

Thank you. That’s exactly the point here.

They have a good purpose but Respect Round sounds like we should respect anyone who is in the KKK.

Nice pun. Funnily enough, that’s my favourite Genesis song and favourite all time song.

My dear sir, that is a timeless question and I have my version of an appropriate answer. The Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks era. The only two original Genesis members who never left.

I’m already going to burn in Hell.

Everyone gets discriminated against sir. How the Hell am I easily offended? I’m just saying how it is.

I saw him 4 years ago. It was amazing. I would have loved to see him again but sadly, that won’t happen.

Andrew Johns was injury prone too sir. Newcastle played 22 games in 1997 and Joey played 9.
To have success in 2023 Knights must rediscover winning culture
I did say it takes time sir.
To have success in 2023 Knights must rediscover winning culture
When you compared the QLD side to the Knights, it makes sense sir.
To have success in 2023 Knights must rediscover winning culture
I don’t find that embarrassing at all sir. However, KP was able to play World Cup and didn’t do so and I think KP not playing for Australia was his punishment. Before Parr came along, he would have chosen to play World Cup. Could have either played fullback against lower ranked teamed or be bench utility.

It’s called being realistic. I’m not going to write a bunch of BS. I’ve seen it so many times. How the fans treat the team will reflect on them. It’s kinda like the effect of bullying. People who get bullied into believing they won’t ever amount of anything more often then not believe so and lose self-esteem. Anyone who’s ever studied psychology, counselling or life-coaching (which I have) would know this. The Knights have a long way to go sir. As much as it pains me, that’s how it is. Our culture, pathways and office has been screwed for ages.
We are the most passionate fans in the league but what you don’t see is all the ruthless online bashing the same people predominantly say about them. Talking about which player needs to be sacked or is a waste of space. That affects most people.
Knights a long way off where they need to be after disappointing 2022
There’s way worse things than that sir. Not worth mentioning.
Knights fans must stop abusing players online
I get what you mean but whatever happened is none of my business. I do believe all players who aren’t playing should still go in support of the team though.

I’m talking about how he criticises people. I know off screen he’s a lovely guy and all but I think anyone who has watched Hell’s Kitchen knows how he is with criticism. Then again, working in a kitchen is stressful.

Just because he didn’t make the 8 doesn’t mean he’s a failure of a coach. Losing Mitchell Pearce was always going to be a setback. Considering this is the first year without Pearce, now we can work on potential long term combinations. Look at Craig Bellamy with Melbourne, from 2004-2017 their big three were Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith. 14 seasons their winning ways was built around them and they made – 6 grand finals, 4 grand final match wins and 2 legit premierships.
Considering all the rebuilding the Knights went through from Brian Smith blowing up the junior system to the Nathan Tinkler nightmare, it will take way longer than just 3 years.
Now with Newcastle, they got 2 current first choice spine members in Kalyn Ponga at fullback and Jayden Brailey at hooker. Now AOB needs to figure out who our long term halves will be now Mitchell Pearce is gone. Will Anthony Milford stay at Newcastle? I don’t know.
Have Newcastle hit rock bottom?
I originally named this article Newcastle down and out. I don’t think we’ll be playing final footy.
Have Newcastle hit rock bottom?
I do know Western Reds came prior Super League but the idea for a breakaway competition originally began talks in 1993.
