I got the Friday night game wrong, Sami, and who woulda picked Collingwood to roll the Cats? That one was the single leg that stuffed up my multi-bet! Got the Melbourne 60+ and GWS 25+ right though…highest margin Gold Coast vs. Adelaide was on the money too.

Round 9 AFL tips and best bets

The Dogs have too many outs. GWS will win.

Round 9 AFL tips and best bets

Hmmm…I guess Fox Footy commentators should stop referring to players having “good engines” and “wheels” too, huh? All that writing and two words rile you up. Thank GOD it’s Friday…

Round 9 AFL tips and best bets

Thanks Dan Walter. Much appreciated. I’m loving what Stevie J is doing for GWS. He’s really added something to that team. Definite chance for first goal based on your evaluation. It should be a cracking game.

Round 9 AFL tips and best bets

Well, you must be very, very, VERY happy, csh. An amazing moment for the club and Richmond fans. Well done!

Round 8 AFL tips and best bets

Jeremy Cameron got the six goals! WOO HOO! Hope you got on penguin? North let us down in the multi. They should NEVER have given up that lead.

Round 8 AFL tips and best bets

Kennedy is now a late out too!

Round 8 AFL tips and best bets

Additionally, penguin – Waite is $6 to get 6 or more goals in his game. Cameron is $9 to get 6 or more goals in his game.

Round 8 AFL tips and best bets

penguin, I did pretty well last week…Collingwood put a spanner in the works of the multi, but the other bets covered it.

For a “safe” multi, I like – Adelaide vs. Geelong, either team under 39.5, Hawks 25+, GWS 25+, North 40+, WC over 15.5, Sydney H2H – that’s currently showing $4.70 on Sportsbet. If you’re feeling brave, you could up the margin to 40+ on both the Hawks and the GWS game. That one is currently showing $6.91. Maybe split your bet into two multis, with the higher margins getting you the better odds, IF it gets up.

In the “Round Markets” for “Most Goals” I can’t see Jarrad Waite or Jeremy Cameron not performing well against the struggling teams they’re up against this week. They both have an opportunity to kick a bag and I can’t split them. Waite is currently showing $4 and Cameron is showing $5 for most goals. Franklin is next on $6, but Rance is back for Richmond and he’ll likely keep Buddy to a tidy sum. A little something on Waite and Cameron for most goals. Take a screenshot of all the contenders before the round starts so that you can keep an eye on the players as the round progresses. Last week, Buddy was paid out on most goals, despite Jenkins beating him, but Jenkins wasn’t in the markets, so Buddy won 😉

I usually put on a multi with the overs/unders on total scores, but the bookies have set the totals way too high this round. Not touching them.

Good luck!

Round 8 AFL tips and best bets

Thanks Capital Burley. Very nice of you to say 🙂

Round 8 AFL tips and best bets

Aish has been dropped. He was hopeless at Brisbane and Collingwood mopped him up as sloppy seconds.

Round 8 AFL tips and best bets

Well, all three of our Best Bets got up…our multi failed by one leg…thanks Collingwood – NOT!

Round 7 AFL tips and best bets

Thanks Hawks! First leg of the multi-bet is in! Four games to go…fingers crossed 😉

Round 7 AFL tips and best bets

Agree, peter chrisp. The result entirely depends on which Pies side shows up. I think Cloke will be in.

Round 7 AFL tips and best bets

Jax, Geelong has dominated West Coast at Simonds Stadium, winning their past four matches by an average margin of 64 points. The Eagles last won in Geelong in 2006.

Round 7 AFL tips and best bets

LOL! It always seems like an easy tipping round, until the first game starts…then it all goes south, peter chrisp. The Collingwood vs. Carlton game worries me. I just don’t have much faith in the Magpies at the moment. The Adelaide vs. WB game will be a cracker!

Round 7 AFL tips and best bets

Not a bad game last night either, Chris. He’s equal leader in the Coleman on 22 for the season – already!

Travis Cloke is Fremantle’s answer

Hmmm…”potential to be” a great player is probably more like it, Glenn. True enough.

Travis Cloke is Fremantle’s answer

How did Freo suddenly become a development team after being minor premiers last year? Bennell is a great player, agreed, but he’s a loose cannon. Those provisions of “providing he’s fit and in form” are valid concerns and not something I’d hang my hat on, least of all being the saviour for Freo’s forward line woes. Certainly, Cloke isn’t exactly consistent or reliable either, but he’s not injury ridden, which many Freo players seem to be.

Travis Cloke is Fremantle’s answer

Waite has kicked 18 goals already this season. He kicked a total of 16 in 2011, 27 in 2012, 27 in 2013 and 29 in 2014, his last year with Carlton. He tallied 42 last year, his first season with North, and he’s already kicked 18 goals to date. Safe to say he’s greatly improved at the Roos and he’s on track for his best year in a long, long time, Chris Vincent. Certainly in Coleman contention at the moment.

Travis Cloke is Fremantle’s answer

Pavlich is 34, so based on his age, Cloke “maybe” has four more years to support their younger players coming up. That said, I can’t see him getting a contract of more than a year or two at any club. His roots are firmly planted in Victoria. Would he get home sick? If so, his performance would be once again affected. If not Collingwood, Richmond would be the next likely Victorian club to go to, but I still see Freo as a good fit, IF Cloke could handle that interstate transition.

Travis Cloke is Fremantle’s answer

Yep, totally agree, richo!

Travis Cloke is Fremantle’s answer

Jarrad Waite is a good example, Peter Chrisp. He’s really come into his own at North Melbourne. The change has been good for him. That said, all clubs know what they’re getting with Cloke. It’s a matter of the prospective club thinking are THEY good enough, and/or is HE good enough, to turn things around. It’s a massive gamble. Whatever happens, Cloke is going to have to accept poor form equals a huge pay cut. It’ll be a hard pill to swallow. Then again, he was gifted with $800,000 a season, which is double what he was ever worth.

Travis Cloke is Fremantle’s answer

Do you honestly think he’s finished, Peter Chrisp? He’ll see out his contract with Collingwood and retire, washed up at 30?
