Agree with all these comments. You could add the Sezer and Rapana incident as well. Forceful contact last year was sin bin but went unpunished in the game. Let’s see the rest of the rounds games and I’m sure someone will get sin binned for the same incident. The fans just want consistency and this feeds the “scripted” talks

NRL consistently inconsistent when it comes to punishments for head-high contact

It was a see sawing battle but the raiders weren’t convincing. Their attack has been lacking all year and I think fogarty and frawley calmed things down but never were going to be flamboyant. We need youth but the grind that has got the raiders to where they are can’t be denied. Mike obviously has something against the Raiders as does everyone else if goal difference is what gets you into finals….

ANALYSIS: Raiders win ugly again to stay in top eight hunt - but playing like this, they won't last long in the Finals

I totally agree Geoff, this was a double edge sword. I’m glad we don’t have the 1.1mil headache for 4 years. For what we did for him through the trouble he caused off field and how he played since 2019 I’m 50-50. I’m not sure he will get a positive reception at GIO/Bruce stadium but we will see. Do we go rookie or Schneider the rest if the season with wighton at centre?

Wighton's contract call after tug-of-war between Raiders, Rabbitohs and Dolphins sparks complaint to NRL

Papali ran into him after catching the ball! He was within 2m of the contest, that is not passive. The bunker didn’t even clear him as onside, only the outside kick chase.

Unbelievable bunker miss, try of the year and phenomenal save in 2021's most outrageous finish

I haven’t cancelled kayo yet because their mini’s are awesome and I can fast forward…sad state of affairs the game is in. I’m starting to only watch the first half of Canberra knowing they will switch off or not have the stamina. However, I’m less inclined to watch on when I only know penrith and Melbourne will be in the GF. The membership renewal is going to be a hard choice, I have a few months to think about it which I will probably sway with the heart and hope one day….

Rugby League: Not sick - but not well

As a fellow raider tragic I too have experienced the high and lows through the past 30 years but tend to disagree. I think Ricky’s history with other clubs and what appears to be that he has lost the dressing room suggests he isn’t the man. Don I don’t think I have an issue with because he always shows that he has the clubs best interest at heart by getting rid of players that think they are above the club I.e. fergo, Carney, Duran etc. Introducing the 6 again last year and this year, we haven’t adapted – terrible rule but you can’t sit there and cry about it. Too old and too unfit is what I put it down to. We were unlucky with the warriors due to injury and penrith when losing CNK. We probably would of still lost but the 18th man would be in play if the high tackle crackdown was from the start of the season, kikau would have be in for 10. But they aren’t the excuses. Ricky’s poor bench rotation, constant injuries, stacking our team with too many forwards vs backs and now players not buying in is how it all unravelled. I like the stance the club took with GW, he was looking for other clubs in the off-season and didn’t want to stick it out. He got what he wanted but not on his terms which is unfortunate but you can’t do that in any workplace, good leaders can see through that and call the bluff. All this leaking of news I put down to player managers, they are the scourge that are ruining this game as well, bring back the old hand shake agreement.

Ricky Stuart and Don Furner Jr are Canberra's best future

I’m with you blokes and been saying it for weeks, they need youth out there because the game is so much faster. Hudson is a turnstile which isn’t what you want from a forward, tapine can be as well if he turns his back. Wighton isn’t firing and hope hodgo get back to full fitness because he isn’t there after the acl injury. Papali even said he took a week off and did fitness…that just shows the Canberra fitness levels are not right for this speed. Couple that in with bench mismanagement just makes things worse. I hope for better things but 2021 isn’t for the green machine. The premiership window is closing fast. Lui needs a chance and Sutton has been solid.

Panic stations for Raiders, plus poor old Trent
