Please elaborate. His away average is 37.62. That is 23% above the global average.

Marnus form slump becoming a concern as Aussies grind Pakistan into Perth dust with all-round dominance

In the last 5 years a number 3 batter away from home averages 30.32. Marnus this year has averaged 35.5 away from home in the two most difficult destinations. He averaged 39.875 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. His home form has been exceptional. There is no form problem with Marnus.

I disagree with subsidising teams. Instead Test cricket should create a genuine league competition. The world test championship as it stands is just bilateral series masquerading as a league. There should be a real league with two tiers, relegation and promotion. Run by the ICC, all the money from TV and sponsorship used to pay the players from all nations equally and the profit shared amoungst the teams.

Cummins wants video system reviewed, Agar not so horrible, No pink ball for SCG, Proteas optimistic: Talking Points

There will ALWAYS be contentious umpire decisions. We must strive to improve the technology but we must also recognise the inevitably of 50/50 calls going against how we perceive it should.

For this last test it was most definitely a choice made with no “fear” involved. End of story. You can argue against the choice, to suggest fear is ridiculous.

Australia still fears enforcing the follow-on if Karachi is anything to go by

Saying Australia “fears” enforcing the follow on is absolutely pathetic and sensationalist. Australia CHOSE not to enforce the follow on. You may debate the reasoning of the decision but to imply that we are timid cowards is a disgrace.

I can not believe how many media outlets and players thought that mankad was previously unfair because it was in the unfair play section. They never considered the fact that it is titled “Non-striker leaving his/her ground early”. It was the act of leaving your ground early that was considered unfair, not the act of running the person out.

You have misread my intentions. I do not use passive condescension, or passive anything. I will flat out tell you when I think you are full of s#*t. In this case I simply disagree with your opinion. It is a great team you have nominated, I simply rate Buttler’s keeping ability as extremely poor. Wicket keeping ability does translate between formats as does fielding ability in general which is why I believe the statistics to be relevant. Like you have said this is purely hypothetical and I was just offering my opinion.

My 2021 World T20 XI

WOW, you think Buttler is a good keeper. I guess we all have different opinions. Here are a couple of CricViz analysis of keepers. Check out the graphs!!! https://www.cricviz.com/jos-buttler-the-wicketkeeper/

You have Rizwan and Butler in your team and you give the gloves to Butler. Very interesting choice!

Frank, you’ve stopped hassling Head and Starc. I wonder why that is? Harris is all you have left to cling to. You think your genius plans will create an invincible team. What a joke.

'He'll play': Justin Langer on retaining Harris, Starc's injury concern and whitewash goals

I think I like the Lyon jokes more than the true story. But thanks for the answer.

BRETT GEEVES: Marnus, Smith schtick is infuriating and must be countered by impactful verbals

It is always great to see the English thoroughly thrashed. I wish we would reduce The Ashes to 3 tests and concentrate on developing the World Test Championship so that we can have a truly international competition. Bilateral series need to end in all formats of cricket.

Do we really want to see England in despair and humiliated? The answer might surprise you

Not quite correct Ouch. It is an “eggcorn” for scapegoat.

BRETT GEEVES: Marnus, Smith schtick is infuriating and must be countered by impactful verbals

I have heard of a scapegoat but what on earth is an “escape goat”.

BRETT GEEVES: Marnus, Smith schtick is infuriating and must be countered by impactful verbals

If a wicketkeeper fails with the bat there are 10 people to take up the slack. If a wicketkeeper fails with the gloves there is no one to take up the slack and it usually costs your team the match.

FLEM'S VERDICT: 'Bowl-off' looms between new quicks for Boxing Day spot

Don Freo, can you explain what makes Jos Buttler such a good batter? His batting statistics in FC and Test look no better than specialist wicketkeepers, yet his wicketkeeping skills are very poor.

FLEM'S VERDICT: 'Bowl-off' looms between new quicks for Boxing Day spot

Don Freo, I admit I only watched a small amount of that match. Can you elaborate on your comment. Was his wicketkeeping skills poor in that match? Is that why he does not demand selection?

FLEM'S VERDICT: 'Bowl-off' looms between new quicks for Boxing Day spot

Mcgrath, Gillespie, Lee, Fleming, Bichel, Kasprowicz, Reiffel. We seemed to do okay during that era of no left handers.

FLEM'S VERDICT: 'Bowl-off' looms between new quicks for Boxing Day spot

Neser is not capable of batting at 6. Green is not keeping him out of the team.

I thought I read that the Lions were sent home because they were superfluous to requirements. Would that not mean Foakes is no longer in the country? I do not know if that is true, it is a genuine question.

FLEM'S VERDICT: 'Five years ago he'd be stressed' - Warner's big mentality shift, England's selection self destruction

Do you realise these millennials you are maligning are the ones out there playing test cricket. You appear to be in an argument that does not exist. Deal with it Frank.

FLEM'S VERDICT: 'Five years ago he'd be stressed' - Warner's big mentality shift, England's selection self destruction

I know nothing for sure, I was going by what was written in the article. “ It was reported that Cummins was at the restaurant when a patron at the next table got a message saying he had tested positive to Covid-19.
It’s understood that patron left and notified others sitting in his vicinity.”

UPDATED: 'Gutted' Cummins OUT of second Test, Smith to captain, new VC and Neser in for debut

That depends on Cricket Australia’s protocol and what has been agreed with the varies state authorities.

UPDATED: 'Gutted' Cummins OUT of second Test, Smith to captain, new VC and Neser in for debut

It depends. If you are getting tested for any reason other than having symptoms you do not need to isolate. If you have symptoms you must isolate. Here is a quote from SA Health “ Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 must self-isolate while waiting for test results.”
I suspect he was symptomless, but I do not know that as fact.
EDIT. I have to correct myself. I believe Close contacts are being made to isolate is South Australia. Sorry for the error.
