It was obvious they were playing for the draw. Only works if you can stay in a la Pujara. Absolutely pointless if you make no runs.

Aussies Bazballed again as Root, Bairstow and Crawley power England towards series-levelling win

Carlton 😂

Forget the tank talk - Sam Mitchell has his Hawks on track for finals next year

He’s absolutely got CA by the short and curlies, given the attacks he and candy have launched on them only for him to keep his position is mind blowing!

Flem’s Verdict: Aussies earned the Ashes urn well before rain put a dampener on England's chances

Totally agree. We needed to say goodbye to Warner last summer so we could get someone settled in before khawaja retires too. Going to need a replacement for Hazelwood and Lyon too.

Bang on Rowdy 👍

Flem’s Verdict: Aussies earned the Ashes urn well before rain put a dampener on England's chances

When all is said and done, we’re averaging 2 test wins in England for the last few series. England haven’t won a test in Australia since 2010/11. The Gulf is still there. We’ll evaluate Bazball after the next series in Australia. If Baz lasts that long…

Don’t be ridiculous. Like they’d entertain the thought of awarding actual journalism. They just thrive on clickbait tabloid rubbish now. Prime example, chief AFL propagandist Damien Barrett.

Footy Fix: ANOTHER Magpie magic act sinks the Power - here's how Collingwood pulled off their greatest heist yet

He’s not sensationalist enough for that job. He simply talks footy. Will never make it in today’s world.

Lost 1 quarter and I know you’re used to mediocrity but counting quarter wins now? Sad.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 19: How to use the tipping year from hell to help your team win

I mean don’t get me wrong I’m expecting and wanting Carlton to win but geez the history and the signs are there.

I’m just spewing I didn’t jump on when they were $20 last week

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 19: How to use the tipping year from hell to help your team win

Wildcard weekend is FOR the no-brainers. Just further rewarding mediocrity. As it is there’s only 5 teams this year who are a realistic chance of winning the flag.

More meaningful games, more eyes on screens and more fun: Why 'wildcard weekend' is an absolute no-brainer

Value bet is West Coast. Currently $11. Lock it in 😂

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 19: How to use the tipping year from hell to help your team win

Given the circumstances, I’m going with a bit of Bazball with my tips.
Doggies to beat Essendon.
Hawks to kill off Richmond’s season.
Carlton to go full Carlton and lose to west coast, take that to the bank!
Brisbane only just and only coz it’s at home.
Buddy to finish the way he started at Optus by kicking a bag. Swans.
Port in the prison bar Derby.
And in another boring Sunday… giants Dees saints.

Unless you have a generation player like Max Gawn who is more than handy all over the ground then yes, they are overrated. Carlton pantsed Freo without a recognised ruckman. Darcy won pretty much every tap bit the Blues mids run rampant.

Don't waste the time or money - ruckmen are the most overrated stock in the AFL

They were probably saying this about Bomber in 2006 and Dimma in 2016.

Dew bye date: 'I don't think it's misleading' - Suns chairman backs CEO's call to back coach just days before sacking

They absolutely are. This has every sign if a very badly timed decision though. They have finally had stability and managed to keep some great talent together. Hopefully this doesn’t upset the apple cart.

Maybe it’s caro?

Dew bye date: 'I don't think it's misleading' - Suns chairman backs CEO's call to back coach just days before sacking

And will it change anything?

This club seems to have no soul whatsoever. It’s been a shambles from day dot. GWS seemed to have better people setting it up from the start and despite the fact they get pitiful attendances, they are a club with spirit.

Where to now for Gold Coast?

I’m with the latter 😂

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 17: Buddy's back... but are the Swans too?

At the end of the day, as bad as he’s playing, he still puts bums in seats. Given it’s his farewell tour, I’d say people would go to get one last look.

Nil all

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 17: Buddy's back... but are the Swans too?

I think you’ll be ok. If my hawks respond to a spineless effort in their belting by gold coast with a goalless half against Carlton then I think the cue is in the rack. Percentage booster for the giants.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 17: Buddy's back... but are the Swans too?

At least Darcy has great upside. Definitely a quality ruckman. Taberner has become a bit of a never-was more than a has-been. Never got much of a run at it earlier on due to injury but even when he’s been on the park lately, he’s been more if a liability. Amiss and Treacy gone way past him.

Got smashed in the ruck yesterday and it didn’t seem to affect anything?
