Tupac Amaru has been hurt by the track upgrades. He’s only fair in the yard. Looked better last week.

Epingle looks very fit. She has done a lot of racing over summer. Can’t fault her today.

Brigantin looks nice. He has lost a lot of weight since being in Australia. He can stay the distance and finally gets into a race with a nice weight. Chance.

The Offer looks very hard and fit. He has so many miles in his legs. He is nice and relaxed. Switched on and super fit!

Who Shot Thebarman is playing up a little in the yard. He’s only a small horse. Doesn’t look as strong as others in this field.

Sertorius looks nice. He has looked better but he is a downright stayer so he looks good enough to be here.

In the yard now.

Voleuse De Coeurs looks very poor. She looks like she just woke up.

We’re 15m from the jump and we’re not too far from the mounting yard now.

Asking a horse to run two miles is the toughest test in our country and most in this field have never done it.

The Europeans generally can but of the local contingent, you’d have to think only Sertorius is proven at this level.

Our five tipsters have offered four different winners and I think that’s what the markets will look like as we get closer to jump time.

Gee that is some telling form!

He is in great form nonetheless and Tommy is riding inspired today.

It’s no surprise to see The Offer on the drift.

He was $2.70 when markets opened and he’s now out to $3.30.

We know how good he is on heavy going but on slow-dead ground, he has had 7 runs for just two 3rds and zero wins.

The track is now remarkably Dead 5 after another upgrade,

Most of us have done our form expecting a very wet track but with the upgrade, a whole bunch of horses are now in the market.

We’ve just seen two upsets with favourites getting rolled int eh Queen of the Turf and the Oaks.

Are we due for another one?

The Offer, Gai Waterhouse and Tommy Berry will hope not!

So there we have it folks.

Owner Greg Kolivos,

“A very special win for Tom.
“You couldn’t ask for a better result for Tom.
“This was always the plan. She (Gai) has bought her along perfectly.
“We’re over the moon.”

Here’s Tommy Berry.

“Dad’s here today with mum. He hasn’t been to a Saturday meeting since the beginning so this is very special.
“Nathan never got to ride a Group 1 winner but that was his.
“I think there might have been a bit of Nathan’s help.”

Red Tracer is on the way down. She’ll head to the breeding barn at the end of the season.

Very disappointing from Catkins who only finished midfield.

Here with Gai Waterhouse.

“Tommy rode her a treat. I loved the way she balanced her.
“I think everyone underestimates her.”

In other news, Gai Waterhouse is wearing a bird’s nest as a hat.

That run came from nowhere.

Diamond Drille somehow found dry ground on the outside to cruise over the top of Red Tracer.
Very nice run by Gypsy Diamond too on the inside.

Tommy Berry rides Diamond Drille home and kisses the skys for Nathan.

Catkins extremely disappointing. She couldn’t find a kick.

Diamond Drille gets up at $41!

About to go now!

And we’re off in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes!!!

Catkins jumps well from the inside,
Gypsy Diamond missed it,
Solicit out quickly to and driving through,
Red Tracer tacking on third,
Recite coming through the outside,
Catkins retains the fence third behind Solicit and Recite,
Red Tracer fourth behind Red Tracer,
Solicit still leads from Recite and Catkins,
Bowman pull Catkins off the fence,
She’s striding up,
Catkins comes to the lead,
Red Tracer moves to the lead,
Red Tracer pulling away but Diamond Drille is coming strong,
She’s coming hard,
Diamond Drille!!!!

Diamond Drille has nabbed this from Gypsy Diamond who cut the corner and Red Tracer has boxed on for third.
