Rusted on Reds supporter living on the Gold Coast. Picture of my reaction to reds snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in recent years. Nooooo!

Let’s see how Tom develops 👍

'It was remarkable RA couldn't see it': Quade slams Eddie chaos, praises 'phenomenal' McKellar

Just how incompetent is this organisation?
Just how delusional was the Chairman?
Why was he so directly involved in the operational aspects of the business?
Why is there no accountability for poor performance with this new litany of operational stuff ups?
It’s not like RA has rivers of gold that can absorb these kinds of mistakes. Truly shocking.

Rugby News: RA hunting missing million after contract blunder, Suaalii worth 10x more than his deal, McKellar's big win

The formal representative of the players union being responsible for reviewing their performance? How could he not be conflicted?
Conflicts are not about whether Harrison would actually be biased. It is about the perception that he could well be.
The big problem with Australian rugby is the “matey” culture and lack of accountability for poor performance. Can’t criticise that fella. Terrible at his job but he’s a top bloke.

ANALYSIS: McLennan's fatal blind spot, and why his exit leaves Australian rugby in a better place and a worse one

It’s always darkest before the dawn.

States not RA the issue Australian rugby is facing as Wallabies great calls on reform measures to be backed

Horribly human (human like the rest of us). Not horrible human.

Unfortunately I agree that this is highly unlikely at 28 and with Tom Lynagh developing.

Eddie reject ready to relaunch Wallabies career, as Kiss outlines preferred style for Reds

You can only pick from the players we have. He is a good fullback who will do the job.
Jock is a natural fullback who glides into the line. I still want to see him perform a Larkham switch to 10.

Eddie reject ready to relaunch Wallabies career, as Kiss outlines preferred style for Reds

Rubbish. Eddie is a big boy who made big promises. He then followed this with disastrous selections and attempted to do a rebuild in the actual world cup tournament. No one wants to work with him anymore and he talks about culture.
He deserves all the criticism he is receiving. And this is from someone who wasn’t against him being parachuted in.

Eddie Jones quits as Wallabies coach - 'Sometimes you have to eat s--t for others to eat caviar'

Anyone else noticed the Boks appeared to be using the HIA as an interchange for their bigs forwards in the France game. Wasn’t required so much vs England as the game was so slow. I wonder if we will see similar vs ABs as it will likely be a fast game.

The Wrap: There's a reason Boks and All Blacks are at the big boys' table - the rest have to earn their way onto it

There was a game plan?

COMMENT: RA wanted a Pitbull to bring back some snarl to the Wallabies - Eddie rolled over for a tummy tickle

Exactly Tony.
Jones wasn’t hired to conduct a rebuild in the tournament!
I for one would like him to resign as a consequence of his chaotic selections and disastrous strategy to sacrifice the 2023 World Cup. Let’s not forget how loudly he was trumpeting that he could win it for us when he was hired. Embarrassing.
His main gift appears to be self promotion and saying maaaate.

I have substantial experience in how people actually behave. It is my livelihood.
That humans are easily influenced is not “a common belief”. It is the reality of the human condition. We are herd animals. We are much less rational than we like to believe.
Even a basic understanding of Caldini’s Weapons of Influence reinforces how susceptible we all are to these factors in ordinary life let alone in the high pressure scenarios we are discussing.
Referees are not super human. The most basic review of the best referees in the world would show how subjective their decisions are. Why is that? ????‍♂️

RWC News: Irish claim 'bizarre' spy drama shows Kiwi 'paranoia', Boks send clear message to BOK, Dupont's big fear

The refs are human. They feel pressure. They are definitely influenced by suggestions.
I’ll remind you not to think of a pink elephant.

Wow! At least there won’t be a payout required.

REPORT: Eddie Jones to quit Wallabies and join Japan as head coach

An actual coaching curriculum (think an update to that of the great Dick Marks) that specifies in detail the drills, roles and explanations so all our coaches (particularly junior coaches) are on the same page. I am amazed at the lack of basic catching and passing skills from our players.

The Wrap: With Wallabies done and dusted in 15 miserable days, who do we trust to take Australian rugby forward?

Interesting read. 👍

'I don't want to see it die' - Silence, centralisation and Mack Hansen: Why exiled coach wants to help Aussie rugby

It just that Kellaway is one of the calmer, better decision-making, natural footballers in the squad.
One should never go “Full Eddie”….

Nuclear blow to Wallabies' hopes of dominating key area - as Fiji selection puts full glare on Donno

The thing about Chris Latham is he kept getting better and better. If you watch his early games for the wallabies there were mistakes. However he continued to work and develop his skills. By the end of his career he was clearly the best fullback in the world. And still with the ability to score tries that left you wondering how on earth that was scored.
Burke was a fantastic player too. And he was a world class goal kicker.

Greatest XV: Matt Burke's balls of steel and how one word from John O'Neill sent the Wallabies 'nuts'

Excellent article GP.
Particularly biting analysis of the first team to do a rebuild in the actual World Cup tournament!
The inconsistency of his selections is truly baffling. Not having a recognised goal kicker is a brave decision.
Despite admiring Eddie’s achievements, I find myself thinking if I had known he would use these bizarre selections as a prepared excuse for poor performance, I would have preferred Rennie to finish out his contract.

The Wrap: Is Eddie Jones playing the role of Keyser Soze or Frank Drebin?

“Thank you, I just had it stuffed.” 😂

The Wrap: Is Eddie Jones playing the role of Keyser Soze or Frank Drebin?

I think he’s talking about his natural mindset is to focus on the problems. On what needs to be better. This can often be perceived by others as overly negative.
I think EJ was saying yes but what about the things that went well. Look at the whole game. Both the positive and negative aspects.

Of course the opposite can apply. People who ignore the negative tend to be blindly optimistic…

'You love your country or you don't': Tate's defiant moment that proved he had fire and desire to lead Wallabies

Everyone gets upset and blames the ref. It’s part of the grieving process 🙂
This is an Australian site so expect it to have an Australian slant and don’t worry about it.

Triple threat turns to triple concern: Wallabies star's indecisiveness gives Eddie food for thought ahead of RWC

Completely agree. Just needed to pass as well and he could have been so much more

'Baryshnikov with a Kalashnikov': Perfect blend of poise and firepower that makes Wallaby one of the world's best 13s

Haha! I remember one test in France where he passed it and we put 50 on them. You would think that would have changed something for him, but nup 😂

'Baryshnikov with a Kalashnikov': Perfect blend of poise and firepower that makes Wallaby one of the world's best 13s

I was admonished by John Hipwell for my dive pass as a young halfback. He said it took me out of the game and to stay on my feet. I guess he wasn’t a fan of Catchpole’s approach 😂

Was Joost van der Westhuizen rugby's greatest ever halfback?
