“If Manenti wants a way to use Hooper, it’s in that area of the game that he offers Australia a point of difference.”
POD? Really? Its what all top sides have. Have you watched the kiwis?
Five things we learned: One area Gordon must fix to convince Wallabies boss, ABs bruiser should be on notice
I too loved the armature days. The players could really motor….Such an electric atmosphere.
'We have to keep the essence of what rugby is about': All Black legend's worrying words of warning
The Aussies and Fijians were keen on trying a lot of razzle dazzle but displayed some godawful handling which was particularly surprising in the case of the Fijians. Was it that wet?
'Too many simplistic errors': Australia's men and women lose HK Sevens semis to NZ as Olympic selection battle heats up
Wow. Even more kiwi intelkectual property.
'It can be something great': Schmidt turns to 'scrum doctor' as next step in Wallabies rebuild
Of course he is. Apart from Slipper and Tupou there are no international props in Australia other than 3 recycled All Blacks.
'He'd been flogged to death': Rebels GM's scathing Tupou claim as Wallaby battles to reignite his fire
Isnt it ti.e to ditch the boring Thor nickname? Hes never kicked on to become a great prop because apart from Slipper theres noone in Aus thats better. I believe that had he stayed in NZ the more numerous and quality competition for AB status would have made him a better prop.
'We’d like to see Taniela stay': RA 'absolutely' want Thor for Lions, have 'contingency plans' for Rebels crisis
This Chief supporter says Slipper is a real soldier. The best Wallaby prop.
Super Rugby teams week six: Foketi back after horror injury, Suli benched, Sam Carter set for debut, DMac rested
Reds Brimbies should be a ripper.

Big chip on shoulder…

“First, we lack genuinely hard men in New Zealand rugby.” Scott Barrett? Luke Jacobsen? DeGroot? Taukeiaho? Taylor? Ardie? What are you on about?
Razor's pursuit of 'hard bastard' Sam Whitelock reveals the ugly truth about the modern All Blacks

Blues beat Crusaders for first time in 10 years, Chiefs survive late scare
The Saders alone are struggling.. .Look at the table mate
Blues beat Crusaders for first time in 10 years, Chiefs survive late scare
Chiefs struggles began once DMac went off….so I dont know where you got that one from. Agree re tight fwds though.

'It's time we grew up': The jarring hypocrisy that proves All Blacks are getting key call all wrong
LOL
'It's time we grew up': The jarring hypocrisy that proves All Blacks are getting key call all wrong
DMacs problem inDunedin was the execrable service he got from Christie that day which should have been the end of FC making the RWCsquad but wasnt becuse Fozzie had some mysterious insight noone else had as to the hapless 9s apparent qualities…right through to the final debacle.
'It's time we grew up': The jarring hypocrisy that proves All Blacks are getting key call all wrong
Good lord.. the triumphalism after just one result…against a team they beat last yr…. Theyd better win now. I cant imagine the angst if they fail.
'Be useful': how unrivalled discipline and work rate is lifting the Reds to new heights
Aweful amt of denialism in these posts. If you dont want it in NZ *where Councils are antisport, then hold it in Brisbane. Melbourne is a himiliation for the sport. Noone turns up.
Super Round is a celebration of rugby - that's why it should have never been held in Melbourne
Best lock in NZ by far.
Super Rugby's top 10 players: Aussie props dominate, but Kiwi sensation smiling on the summit
Tupou’s biggest error was leaving NZ in the first place. Had he stayed, hed have been in an environment where hed have had decent coaching and to perform or disappear. Apparently came close to signing with Rennies Chiefs in 11/12.
Super Rugby's top 10 players: Aussie props dominate, but Kiwi sensation smiling on the summit
You still havent got it…1. The game is over officiated with all sorts of numpties interfering with the matches. 2. The unlimited replacements means a great running game has become RL with unlimited tackles. As a player and fan since 1963,Im done with the game. Cant be bothered anymore.
Seven point plan to save Super Rugby
The 72 captain was Kirkpatrick not Lochore.
What makes the legendary Colin Meads the prototype for the most complete New Zealand rugby player ever
“and a lightening back three in Narawa, Etene Nanai-Seturo and Shaun Stevenson.”
Do you think getting lighter will improve them? Certainly made C Clarke look snappier.
The biggest hurdle standing in Chiefs' way to claiming first Super Rugby title since Dave Rennie's side a decade ago
Tom Franklin? Star? Not even in the top 10 of NZlocks. Is this what you will call every kiwi who crosses the Tasman to play for an Aus Super side, or is it more likely just a lazy overuse of a descriptor, like “Flying Finn”? “Flying Fijian”?
Rugby News: Force sign Maori All Blacks star, Fijian lock jailed for assault, Lions set to announce coach
Take Caleb Clarke, who’s not without experience in sevens rugby. The man’s one discernible trick is to run over people, which isn’t that tricky if they can tackle. For a guy who grew up playing centre, his passing also isn’t up to much.
Then there’s Rieko Ioane, who did go to Rio with Sonny Bill. Nothing wrong with his evasive skills but, again, here’s a bloke who can’t (or won’t) pass.
Well summed up as to why the Blues fail. Their stars arent team players.
What's the point of Sevens? It should be used to develop Test players, and would be better at it than Super Rugby
