I'm a Saints supporter in the NRL and have a general interest in most sports.

The rugby league club graveyard: A merger doomed to failure (part 8)

He’s got a lot to answer for SoC.

Who gives a f##k about Kyrgios.

I like Bird, but i don’t think he has the speed to play in the backs anymore. Those knee injuries have definitely slowed him down so I’d keep him in the forwards.

Generation next is key to the Dragons' revival

Reading this morning Tony that one of Saints new signings, Frank Molo, is being sued.

Generation next is key to the Dragons' revival

I need some hope for the future Tony. That 3rd Origin game last year was hopefully a turning point.

The need for speed: Is this the fastest line-up in the NRL?

I couldn’t understand Bullemore being let go. I know the Broncos are pretty well stacked with good forwards but i think he’s a future QLD Origin player.

The need for speed: Is this the fastest line-up in the NRL?

One good thing about the Hammer, he’s a QLDer. With a bit more experience I can see him terrorising the Blues in the future.

The need for speed: Is this the fastest line-up in the NRL?

The problem I see is there aren’t too many speedsters in the forwards, especially a plodder like Woods. The game is heading to the smaller more skillfull players and I hope Griffin proves me wrong, but I’m not jumping out of my skin.

Generation next is key to the Dragons' revival

I hope Griffin picks players in form Adam. He’s got a history of sticking with out of form players for too long. He’s got this year to get Saints firing, if he doesn’t he’s gone.

Don’t think Gus would have signed Norman even if he was free.

I’d forgotten about the Northern Eagles, what a debacle that was.

The rugby league club graveyard: The end of the Steelers (Part 7)

Just curious Tony, but what would happen if the merger ever broke up. I’d imagine, if Saints went back to Saints only that their history and tradition would be restored, much the same if the Wests Tigers ever split.

It’s an embarrassment for boxing Phil. I only ever watch real boxers in big fights, like Australia’s latest world champion George Kombosos, not over the hill ex football players looking for an earner as Arfur Daley used to say.

Great story on the history of Saints Tony. I like your description of the managers who followed Frank Facer. Glorified car park attendants 😂,I think you’re being kind.

The rugby league club graveyard: The Dragons disappear in the first merger (Part 6)

Good read Nat. As you wrote scrums are a joke. They’ve done away with them in the Super League. I wonder how many rule changes there will be this year.

Will the NRL ever give the big men a break?

Everything is a conspiracy according to them Tony 😂

Well Paul, you said if you squint you might see Manly holding up the premiership trophy. I had to really squint and I did see Manly holding up the premiership trophy, it was 2011.

So Easts didn’t rate Norm Provan. At least Saints recognized his potential. Norm would have looked out of place wearing a Roosters jersey.
