Madge and Burgess, unlike Demetriou, wouldn’t hesitate to pull Mitchell and others into line that’s for sure. JD comes across to me as wanting to be Latrell’s mate and not wanting to upset him, not good traits for a coach in my opinion.

Hey D. As long as Lomax remains at Saints I’d be getting as much value as I could and if it means giving him a run at fullback so be it. Sloan’s better as a strike player off the bench at the moment. I’m just not confident in him being the last line of defence.

What caught my eye was AJ Brimson’s performance when Foran went off. Surely Dessie can see he needs Brimson at five eighth. Also, Saints dismal performance in the wet. Blake Lawrie needs a stint in the reserves,and keep Lomax at fullback.

Yes HY, Lomax instigated his contract release. Other than that no look pass he threw last night for Hunt to score, he let in a couple of tries. I agree with Flanagan in that anyone who doesn’t want to be at Saints can leave. After last night’s effort a couple of forwards didn’t do themselves any favours.

Mike, your last paragraph where you say fans might be sad to see the back of Zac, well not me. He hasn’t performed as a centre for ages although he’s doing ok on the wing, a spot he apparently doesn’t like. Flanagan’s no fool and he’ll have earmarked the players he wants.

Flanagan showed Lomax the statistics that rated him about 23rd or 24th in the pecking order of centres. At $800.000 a year Zac was a perennial under performer, and I’d be surprised if Parra or any club matched that.
