it changes every couple of months with different politicians saying this and that as the election is next year, the project you specifically mentioned wont go ahead. Government is confident they’d get 25,000 to attend a rugby match here each week (wont happen) why do you think they pay millions of dollars to host state of origin garbage for? rugby has and never will work in adelaide

Both were horrible decisions by Foxtel and the old board, solely based on the fact both groups were cashed up. western united blatantly lied about the stadium timeframes. Has a shovel of dirt even been lifted yet? and what part of melbourne are they meant to play in? they have become a laughing stock
As for macarthur, the choice of location was awful; that ‘catchment area’ is in need of gentrification which will be at least another decade away
Canberra is a logical choice because of its history with the sport and Tasmania is a state that is ripe for the picking. Both clubs will draw better crowds then half this league (wont be monster crowds though)
Newcastle is a sleeping giant, it just needs the right buyer
Qld as a state should support 3 teams, but they can barely even handle one team. Qld is the biggest issue for the sport in this country
perth need to sort out their ownership issues and stabilise that club for several more seasons before a 2nd WA team is needed. Seems like the cost of living in that state is hurting a lot of their sports team attendances which are dropping each year
As for Adelaide, this all depends on if the new 30,000 seater stadium gets approval in the next election (purely to get a rugby team in Adelaide). Hindmarsh is getting a 45 million upgrade, which will boost capacity into the 20k+ mark, I think were set with 1 team. 2nd division will have Adelaide City Campbelltown City & Adelaide Comets (all 3 are cashed up and will comfortably make the entrance $$$) anyway

misconception about there academy. They generally pay absurd money to other clubs teenage players/agents/mangers. Gomulka left us because city offered 30 grand more than we could.
they took cassio’s son a 15 year old Bernado 18 months ago with a 5 figure sum more than we could afford and his dad the promise of a job with the city group. He was released by city mid week and resigned by us. They are just 2 recent examples of how they continually raid certain clubs (adelaide in particular) for young talented players.
city dont develop there own, why would they? when they can take other teams youth with there massive pay masters

the club, its no different to thebolt experiment to get the worlds eyes on the a league.
utd have an absurd amount of money and they can spend it how they please, but theyre foolish if
they think they can buy the mariners and relocate them into an already over packed
sydney. There ‘brand’ wont be enough to make that deal work in that crowded marketplace.
They would need to send decent players across to australia and a marquee signing or 2 to have
any hope in getting fans. Why would they do that for? look at city, they’re owned by this oil
club with infinite resources and do they help city with players? no, i say let united buy

your coach is a bonafide member of the east coast is bias club, maybe you should actually join the same club since you are from the west.

lol at nothing to do, there is more to do in SA then QLD. Maybe you can solve why your state is bottom of the metrics in the FA report? over 5 million people and you barely get 7000 fans to a match. QLD is the weak link as to why football is failing in this country.
