I agree. That Brisbane team are in a league of their own. Especially in the 01-02 period when they won 20-odd games in a row. Also, they never finished on top of the ladder. In 03 they even finished third, but knew how to win when it mattered.

I forgot to mention Ziebell. He has really come of age recently. He had a great game against Essendon and spent quite a bit of time deep in the forward line. Can be very dangerous.

That’s one of the great things about following a footy team. There’s often no rhyme or reason to who you support but you do it with all your heart and soul.

West Coast sent out of the running just yet. They have winnable games against Melbourne and Gold Coast and a percentage higher than the three teams above them. If North beat Adelaide next week the Eagles are still a big chance.

When those main forwards don’t get a few goals between them they don’t have enough other options to kick a score. They’ve missed Walters hugely. Hopefully he can make an impact in the last few games and finals.
