I do wonder if the numbers thrown around have actual basis in reality. If I recall correctly, the last two times Cronulla hosted a final at Allianz, they got 19,000 there against another Sydney team and 16,000 against a non Sydney team. I don’t think there’s 25,000 fans that would go this weekend even if they could…

It’s annoying that 25,000 fans will be locked out of Shark Park this weekend - but home advantage matters more

Beating Melbourne 2 weeks in a row would be tough for any team, streak or no streak. If they face them next week, I don’t think Reynolds, Walsh and co. would be carrying any scars from this defeat, and I don’t think the Storm boys who didnt play are gonna be riding high on this, it really was a nothing game, a free play. Still, would rather the Warriors next week haha…

Personally, I thought Horsburgh had a few shoulder charge attempts in that game go unnoticed. This wasn’t really the worst of them and on its own this is probably harsh punishment, but I ain’t mad about it…

NRL judiciary dishes out ELEVEN matches in bans as JWH, Horsburgh pay heavy price for foul play

He didn’t get 7 weeks for one offence, it’s 4 weeks and three weeks for two offences…

The gloss was taken off it when it looked likely to be the match up for week one of the finals, now it’s just a practice run…

Round 27 Team Lists Late Mail: Manu hamstrung, long list of stars resting, Papa's year over, Ponga races clock for finals

Which ever way this season goes for the Broncos, I’ll at least be able to look back on it and be happy that they beat the Cowboys twice, I love it when that happens…

ANALYSIS: Another statement from Broncos as they down Cowboys to keep pace with Panthers for Minor Premiership

If he said something like “Usman, you suck!” I’d agree, but if he said something that deserved to be called out, Usman is right to call him out…

Aussies 2-0 up despite sensational Stokes ton as Lord's erupts over run out controversy, cheating accusations

An idea I heard was one game for every month of his community sentence, so 18 games, and it’s a rule that could be applied to others who receive sentences like this and you know what? I don’t hate it…

'I'm not proud of the behaviour I displayed': Brown apologises after pleading guilty to sexual touching charges

Well if you want to change the conditions a team has to win by after they’ve already won it, why don’t we just make origin a 5 game series for this year and that way game 3 in Sydney isn’t a dead rubber! QLD knew they didn’t have to win and only had to not lose big, and they played like it, it was the game plan that won them the series, to turn around and say “now you need to win another game” after they could have won that game isn’t fair. Also, dead rubbers are great! If QLD are up 2-0, the opportunity to rub it in 3-0 is too good, but if QLD are down 2-0, the opportunity to watch them win at least one game and not wait nearly 2 years for a win is also too good. I say this tongue firmly planted in cheek, not getting dead rubbers is another example of how you just don’t get origin…

Cancel Origin III and let Blues and Maroons women's sides loose again to sort out who's the real winner

The “no fault” stand down might be over, but there sure is some fault now, it’s time for the “You molested a woman” stand down…

I don’t think the evidence suggests that at all and a member of the judiciary agreed…

Walsh not a liar but must pull his head in: Reynolds tells Broncos star to learn from ref abuse ban

Might be harsh, but I think you’re being a bit harsh on a member of the judiciary for not sharing your opinion, even though he was in a room you weren’t in, for a procedure you weren’t a part of being presented with all the evidence you didn’t get see or hear. He can be guilty in your opinion, enough members of the panel agree with you, just take the win, but to demand a unanimous verdict and for them to all agree with how you see it based on second hand accounts of what happened is beyond arrogant. In my opinion, of course…

Judiciary hands down Walsh verdict over ref abuse - and it's not good news for Broncos and Maroons

I’d be OK if the games already missed count towards whatever suspension is handed out, only because it needs to be so long that those few games are insignificant…

Yeah, well, you do you. If Patty thinks its a term of endearment from Reece, they can go ahead…

If the NRL are serious about protecting refs, they should have thrown the book at Reece Walsh

Well, damn, why have any kind of legal proceeding at all when we can just ask you what you think the verdict should be and go with that?

Ooh, what a race to the bottom that is. My money is on Luai just because of his big head start…

If the NRL are serious about protecting refs, they should have thrown the book at Reece Walsh

Well I wouldn’t be “just as concerned” because only one of those is against the rules. A lot of Australians would be in trouble if it was against the law to call your mate a C word…

If the NRL are serious about protecting refs, they should have thrown the book at Reece Walsh

See? Walsh acting like a fool is good for the game! Giving you guys a target helps balance out all the Luai hate…

If the NRL are serious about protecting refs, they should have thrown the book at Reece Walsh

I wouldn’t either, but I know how common it is so I don’t get offended when other people do it, even if they say it to me.

You know you live in Austalia, right? Mates call each other the C word all the time…

If the NRL are serious about protecting refs, they should have thrown the book at Reece Walsh

Yeah but you would say anything to bag QLD…

If the NRL are serious about protecting refs, they should have thrown the book at Reece Walsh

That right there is more of a stretch than the one I made.

Do you know what country you’re in? People call their mates the C word all the time…

The ref literally said that he didn’t, he’s the one that said that, not me…

Does Walsh have an attitude problem? Yes. Would a suspension help with that? Sure. But there’s just no case here. I thought there was, right up until the referee said he didnt even hear what Walsh said. It should have been over right there. Nobody who was there said he was talking to the referee, not even the ref, who said he blew the penalty based on his body language. If I say I wasn’t talking to you, and you also didn’t hear what I said, there’s no evidence I was. I’m sorry to borrow a line from the OJ trial, but if the ref didn’t hear sh it, you must acquit!
