I am a huge fan of Cricket and Football (Soccer). I am a huge fan of Manchester United and I love my great state of Victoria in the cricket. I am a bit of a traditionalist and I love my Test cricket much more than my ODI and T20 cricket. If pushed the Stars are the team to go for. Happy reading!

A proposal to save Test cricket
What makes day 3 finish any different to day 4 finish?
If people want to come for the final day they will, if they don’t they wont
A proposal to save Test cricket
Unfortunately players will often only play for big contracts thanks to T20 and other reasons
A proposal to save Test cricket
Hear Hear, I am only 16 yet I love it as it is. I went to my first test when I was 9 and I was enthralled the whole day.
A proposal to save Test cricket
I think you will find people don’t go because they can watch a run orgy the same night where possibly more runs are scored over 3 hours than over 6.
Its called T20, perhaps we shouldn’t give players more time for T20 as then more fans will watch more T20 and be even more bored when Steve Smith or David Warner aren’t smacking sixes every second ball
A proposal to save Test cricket
I suspect this is a mere facade to push the T20 agenda on us
A proposal to save Test cricket
It isn’t about ‘saving’ it, it is about making it fit round T20, not the other way round. I would also rather see it die than the constant tinkering to it and shortening and what not. The ICC makes changes at the last minute all the time without any fan input.
I almost wonder whether it best be left to die so that it can be spoken of in tones of reverence at the survival of it for so long.

Great article Scott! Have to say that starting XI is the one I would pick too
Unlucky seven: Who will miss the Ashes - and what is Australia's best XI?
Great article Ronan! Couldn’t agree more
New Zealand were robbed in the World Cup final
I was a tad general in my remarks, but I certainly hope the boys smash the poms, whoever is playing.
Hazlewood is bowling himself out of the Ashes
Unfortunately we are going through a patch where it seems no-one other than Smith can average over 40.
Hazlewood is bowling himself out of the Ashes
If we are honest, he is better than Marsh with the blade, and Stoinis in general. But its still a fair effort for him to come over and do that with little experience over here, so a spot should be looked at depending on conditions and how dire we are
Hazlewood is bowling himself out of the Ashes
Keep in mind though, Burns plays on a greentop at the Gabba at the start of the shield season
Hazlewood is bowling himself out of the Ashes
I think we should consider Labuschagne for the all-rounder spot, especially after his fine county form. He has 1057 runs in 16 innings at 70. Five hundreds; 4 fifties. I think he has to get in the squad
Hazlewood is bowling himself out of the Ashes
There was talk of Joe Burns at 3 if Khawaja was in deep trouble
Hazlewood is bowling himself out of the Ashes
The thing about Siddle is that we all know he is a threat in English conditions, both he and Pattinson have destroyed county line ups over in the UK. So it is more about his UK ability than over here
Hazlewood is bowling himself out of the Ashes
100% it has. If anything the design looks tacky and classless
Test match shirts: A game of letters and numbers
Great stuff Paul! I certainly know and I tweeted the other day that umpires need to stop reviewing every single little run out of stumping.
It was after one of the Kiwis was in by about 3 feet and they sent it upstairs, like, why? Its just lazy on umpires behalf to not actually look and review every run out
The insidious evolution of Test cricket – and who's to blame
Thanks Paul,
I havent looked into the petition, but it is a good idea!
I have contacted the ICC, CA and the MCC before in regards to a few other issues and only the MCC were good enough to reply to me. Certainly a petition is a great idea, any ideas on how to get it to take off?
Test match shirts: A game of letters and numbers
I can’t wait for the 415 of Steve Smith smash the poms, not the 49

If everyone is so fussed, they can just stock the batting line up with Glenn Maxwells who will get out very quickly or they can get someone like Khawaja to get out, everyone bowls yorkers in the last 10, just tell him to miss it, bang bowled send in Maxwell or whomever
Is it time for cricket to embrace batting substitutions?
Test bowlers are allowed 2 overs off the field before they get clocked, so if a bowler is off for 4 overs, they must wait two overs before they can bowl again. So, if they are off for 40 overs, then they are pretty useless as they would have to wait for 38 overs before bowling. Same rules apply to batsmen, as South Africa declared in Adelaide 2016 as David Warner had been of the field a longer time than allowed and hadnt spent enough time on the field to make up for it, as a result Australia sent in Usman Khawaja to open.

Heaven help us if Stoinis has to bowl 10
Maxwell, Marsh injured as Australia forced into World Cup swap
100% agree Glenn, Siddle must play on a seamer. All this talk of Lyon not playing is rubbish, he is incredible at the Gabba on a green wicket, he would have to play no matter what for the day 5 scenario. Also include Lords against a leftie down the slope.
Lyon and Siddle are musts in the XI
Selectors must opt for Siddle over Starc in first Ashes Test
