fair enough, still keen to see it every year if it affected anything

I think you’re right with that one. I just wonder whether or not they would’ve been able to keep Jimmy even if they had paid him the money, considering he had issues with people in the organization.

Who is to blame for the 76ers’ failure?

It’s crazy to think how much he regressed in the space of a year because Celtics Horford wasn’t even bad

Although I reckon the outside shooting is gonna help the team until they figure out how to fit Embiid and Simmons together it won’t really matter what you put around them. You also have to think about the fact they have all those huge contract players still on the cap that need minutes. It makes me think there won’t be enough time for rookies coming in.

What should the 76ers do in the draft?

I completely agree with everything you’re saying which is why it is hard to place blame on Brett Brown. Issues out his control, his injury-prone, and inconsistent stars, means how much can a coach really do.

Love this. The fact that there was so much buzz around Paul George coming into this season, working alongside Kawhi, and he has nowhere near lived up to expectations is insane. I think he has definitely had his moments in his career, and it would be hard to not say he is superstar, which is why I am perhaps hesitant to suggest that his lack of playing ability could in fact be due to having low levels of chemistry with this clippers team, and with Kawhi.

Why Paul George is not a superstar

I think it’s really interesting that you think the Bulls or Hornets will be able to leverage their pick for a star. I agree that especially the Bulls already have a lot of young talent and are lacking established stars to help the young players grow. However, in a weaker class, I don’t believe there are many teams that are willing to give up a star for just the pick. The warriors on the other hand would 100% be able to couple one of their key pieces and a pick to obtain another great star for their team.
