Good call. Try involvement would be a good one but not sure they have that stat for super rugby currently

The five Aussie young guns who should be celebrated - and the one who is ready for the Wallabies

Great call on Cale. Dont ‘bulk’ him up or you will lose his other attributes – the same happened when Tim Anstee came across from 7s and was explosive but then bulked up.

The giteau law is basically gone anyway. Jones (and for much of Rennies tenure) picked who he wanted… the results weren’t pretty.

Exclusive: Wallabies star weighing up big move to England

Yep and considering the brumbies remaining matches they should be eying off all victories with a couple of bonus points. Could possibly sneak into the top 2 depending on the canes and blues. Then its home quarters and semis which in canberra should be won. Then you are in the final and anything could happen

Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope

Yep oz teams are still a bit off the kiwis but this has been the closest they have been in a decade. The gap is closing, the trend is going the right way, players of real potential are coming forward. This generation of oz players looks much better than the last and the opposite can only be said for NZ

Yeh hes just on his heals too much. Gets caught flat footed so is always behind the game. On your toes son!!!

That was absolutely insane. I actually couldnt believe my eyes

'Heartbreaking': Blues sink Reds with post-siren try after rising star scores epic hat-trick

Dont want to big up young players too much but… Cale. He can do everything. Post contact metres in tight. Pace and line running. Steals lineouts, pilfers, can even kick. Haven’t seen a forward with his skill set since a young Kieran Read. Would say hes gona become a Wallaby great. Would say he and McReight would work together well. Valentini or Wright, McReight, Cale. Not a bad back row.

Brumbies knock over Hurricanes in statement win as Wright shines again behind forward pack

Yep that would be my dream back 3 for the Wallabies. Toole on the left, Kellaway on the right. Great balance

Brumbies knock over Hurricanes in statement win as Wright shines again behind forward pack

Great read Geoff. Was shocked by Lomani on the screen. Thought I was seeing things. He has a look in his eyes of a man that is not all together and might need some help – his actions also signify this

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

Yeh Beale had real spring off the pitch. FB has always been his best position too

Beale, Rodda shine on Super Rugby return as Force smash Crusaders to keep finals hopes alive

Great point. even if a counter ruck doesn’t win a turnover it generally slows the ball – so win / win reslly

Beale, Rodda shine on Super Rugby return as Force smash Crusaders to keep finals hopes alive

It’s crazy isn’t it. I have never seen the premiers of one year fall so quick the next. If they get the wooden spoon it must be the first time in professional sport that has happened???

Great round of really interesting match ups. Call me crazy but this years Super Rugby Pacific has been terrific!

The Roar's Super Rugby expert tips and predictions, Round 9: Big test for Les, Blues backed to best Brumbies

They would be in with a good chance this weekend v the blues. Win that and the momentum could help them with the hurricanes at home. They need a top 2 finish for the finals. That slip up last year v the force where they rotated thr team really cost them

'Doesn't count for anything': Bernie gets serious with Brumbies as race for top two finish heats up

Yeh very good points Harry. It’s a tricky issue that’s for sure

Scrap the Giteau Law: Rugby Australia should look to Rassie's 'Boks RWC recipe if it wants to re-join the big boys' table

Good read Harry. Just to play devils advocate for a moment… Eddie basically got to pick who he wanted, Rennie was allowed the same grace for parts of his tenure (I remember one game on the NH tour our starting line up had players from 10 different pro teams). But the results were shocking?

SA won the last WC by 1 point in the quarters, semis, and final. They also had to beat just Japan, wales and england (who were massive bookies favourites) to win in 2019. They lost pool matches in both of these wcs. Just one whistle blow the other way and it could have been a very different narrative. Between the world cups SA also haven’t been the top team in the world consistently (ireland, france and NZ could lay claim to being better).

I guess what I’m saying is the 2 WCs stand out as evidence for SAs selection policy. Both events were pretty lucky (like in all knock out sport).

I honestly dont know either way if scrapping the giteau law will change Australias fortunes (it’s already basically scrapped anyway). But if our super rugby teams continue improving against the kiwis I’d say that will do a lot more to our chances of being successful again on the world stage

Scrap the Giteau Law: Rugby Australia should look to Rassie's 'Boks RWC recipe if it wants to re-join the big boys' table

TJ is a legend. All round class player. So great to see him back and sure he has a lot more to give the All Blacks

The forgotten leader Razor must pick for the All Blacks - and why it could change who wears the prized No.10 jersey

Dont know. The force weren’t too firm and muscular. Neither the force or moana played great. The Reds were just shocking on both

'Brain explosion': Wallaby stars sent off as Queensland left red-faced in Moana Pasifika shocker

That was just so poor from the Reds. Starting to think the first 4 games of the season were a false dawn. They really should have been eying off 2 bonus point wins v moana and the force and now 2 losses. All of the good things they were doing early in the season – clearouts, interpassing between forwards are no more. Not sure what Kiss is doing moving around the 10s constantly too

'Brain explosion': Wallaby stars sent off as Queensland left red-faced in Moana Pasifika shocker

Lolesio is looking good for wals 10. So calm with his goal kicking too. Like the look of Harrison off the bench for the Tahs, he adds some real zip, very hood goal kicker too. If he keeps it up wouldnt mind Noah starting then Harrison off the bench for the Wals.

Toole is some player. Even though he saw very little of the ball he still managed a try try assist, try save on Pietsch at the buzzer to save the bonus point and a great steal off Gamble.

Cale. Wow. How many line outs did he steal??? He has pace and is good over the ball. Hope they dont try to bulk him up. Keep him as he is and have big Valentini to even things out. Perfect

Brumbies make it 12 straight against Tahs as Bell hobbles off in worrying sign for Wallabies

Say Hoops will be an excellent 7s player. Probably even more suited to 7s than 15s. Good luck to him!

'Incredible' Hoops backed to do better than Boks legend who 'failed abysmally' in sevens switch

Ah ya got to feel for him a bit. As pointed out a lot of close losses. They dont seem to have a great gameplan but surely let the rest of the season ride. Dont like their chances of breaking the 11 game losing streak v the brums though!

Rugby Australia kicks off review into Waratahs as pressure mounts on Coleman ahead of Brumbies clash

80% of coaching is selection. Very true. Didnt think Eddie or Dave got selection right at all. Would like to see some changes from Schimdt. Think it’s time to move on from Kerevi and MK in the backs. Don’t really see how TT gains a spot at this point

How Schmidt landed All Blacks icon at Wallabies - and why '80 per cent of coaching is selection'

Do remember him playing the full 80 some matches for the Reds. Madness really for a big fella. You could see him noticeably conserving energy. Really his best position is 25-30 mins impact off the bench. He really can never live up to the $1+ price tag for what he actually contributes to the team winning (even on his best day). He does get a lot of criticism but when you are on that big a wage that’s the game I guess.
